:cool :great

haynor666 30 May 2003 16:20

So far is the best remake I've ever seen.

tomcat666 30 May 2003 16:28

I hope it will still be the best when you actually get to play it. Well, all I can is - I have done my best :-)

Hope it will be released soon... it is looking good though ! Keep your fingers crossed !

@tomcat666

I realise its probably the last thing you wanna start yet but, are you thinking about doing any other remakes?

tomcat666 30 May 2003 16:46

Yea, been thinking a lot lately :)

Since the code for HoH is finished for almost half a year now I have been doing other things - improving the ISO engine - it is now much better than what you will see on HOH, also been working on some other projects. Been thinking of doing some other game in iso format... but prolly not a remake.
I was thinking of re-starting Saboteur Returns remake (some screenshots of the engine are on retrospec homepage) and also some other things.

Will see once HoH is out of the mind :) Any requests ? :)

How about porting it to Gameboy Advance.
I would love to play Head over Heels again but the only spare time I seem to have is when Im commuting to London and back on the train :(

tomcat666 30 May 2003 17:05

Been thinking of porting my iso3d engine to GBA (maybe with less effects like lighting - altough it might be possible). Didn't find the time yet to setup the environment and try and do something. It might be interesting though :)

I know Kak has ported his Batman remake (Watman) to GBA and it plays very well...

CADAVER :D

tomcat666 30 May 2003 18:38

Man, how I wish to do a sequal to my favorite Amiga game - Cadaver :-) But somehow its quality (especially graphics) would make this an impossible task with a normal job running 8 hours a day :)

LordIvo 30 May 2003 19:51

HoH looks superb and I'm 100% sure that playablilty will be same! Are you planing to release your 3D ISO engine for public with a editor tools?

tomcat666 30 May 2003 20:31

Thanx !

I am not yet sure about releasing the source (it is not well commented, but not really a mess either) or the editor for now. We will see. The editor is quite universal, altough it is not very easy to use.

I suppose it would be hard to improve on near perfection eh?

Very cool site, very cool game, anyone remember the very similar "Solstice" on the NES? Damn that was a cool game!

They will be in big trouble.
The Bitmaps are even upset if they see screenshots (!) of their Amiga/ST heritage...
While the game is brilliant, not worth the legal trouble they are likely to get for their free remake in return.
So here is something completely different, that is not a trouble maker:

Where Time Stood Still and the 8bit likes...

Language.

What was this engine coded in?

I'm just taking a wild guess here but I'd say it was coded in Slovenia! :D
