Music stereo/mono issue

Every week I post a podcast for a different game and I always try to include original Amiga music. I have lots of tunes from games and they sound fine to me when I add them to Audacity, but apparently when I convert them to MP3 it seems to be only playing back one channel instead of being in stereo. I'm no audio expert :sad

For example on this episode I used music from Shadow of the Beast 3 but someone commented "only 2 out of 4 sound channels being heard":

Does anyone know what I can do to make it play correctly?

hmm, i usually convert my songs with modplug player - that has a joint stereo feature, but you could try to duplicate channels and assign a different balance (if i remember clearly 25%)

If they sound fine in Audacity as wav, then check your export options. You should also see two waves visually after you load a wav into Audacity. If there's only one, the original audio is mono.

You could try converting the track to mono before exporting in Audacity or using VLC to record it streaming. Happy to assist if you need it, drop me a PM
