If you aren't and haven't heard of it, its like IRC with voice chat and used by gamers.

Discord is not bad, but it is no replacement for IRC ;)

Another one for IRC - WookieChat or AmIRC work great even on a 020 Amiga.

i love discord and use it as my main messaging platform

i think discord would get more popular here if had support on either old machines or amigas lmao

There's an IRC interface for Telegram that allows two-way comms - a great piece of work. It would be great to have something similar for Discord.

One huge advantage of Discord is persistence. You can be offline and come back and catch up on the conversation. I've been chatting with the folks who are working on IRC 3.0 trying to push for this. I guess we'll see when it's released :)

Suggested it to the devs of EAB quite a while ago.
Good to see that there is a DISCORD server now, for Commodore Amiga.

It's no replacement for IRC? Only depends what you use it for.

I see someone mentioned other chat platforms as IRC replacements. Forget about them, Discord beats them all!

Tried to convince forum admins of Discord in 2016. They turned it down.

Could anybody provied the IRC details please.. have actually payed for the MIRC client some years back but not had much call to use the program so it would be kinda nice to join your irc server if possible please..
