Picasso II and Indivision ECS

10 minutes with this Philips CRT monitor and already it is making my eyes sore. I am going to have to get an LCD set up.

I am looking at the Indivision ECS and I was wondering if it would work if I had a Picasso II card installed as well? I thought maybe the video output from the Picasso would bypass the Indi.

I have both the Indivision and a cybervision 643D in my A2000. I use a KVM switch to switch between the ECS 643D and the A386 bridgeboard. I don't know if there is a passtrhough with the picasso.

Hi Jack,

The PicassoII has an auto switching enabled passthrough, you feed the indivision into the PII and output the monitor, it will do the switching between RTG & Native automatically. (with P96 drivers)

Another Card to look out for is the EGS Spectrum as it does the same thing.

Steve.

Spectrum

Has also support for Zorro III wich Picasso II doesn't have, it is Zorro II only. Does it mean anything or not, I don't know :)

If you are planning to get LCD you could also buy LCD-TV, most of them has a VGA and Scart inputs, so you wouldn't need indivision.

I've 3 amigas and one C64 connected to my LCD-TV

do a search for picasso II and LCD screens. If I remember correctly, there is a short created that will fry a component on the Picasso.

Yeah , I read about that. Need to take out a capacitor or something because of an earth problem.

I've old samsung TV.

Please note that scart cable that you have used with Philips, doesn't probably work with LCD-TV.

You should you one of these http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=226

Or you could chect your cable with little help of Ian Stedman http://www.ianstedman.co.uk/Amiga/am...iga_scart.html

Some LCD TVs doesn't have fully wired SCART connector and almost all have just one fully wired. To use second scart connector you would need this http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=211

I think its a resistor, to prevent Picasso outputting +5Volt on a VGA pin. for some reason, that pin is grounded on newer monitors.
