WinUAE input recorder

I just spotted something called an "input recorder" in WinUAE.

Anyway - I assume it records input like key presses? The trouble is that I can't get it working no matter what I do.. I try to record moving a character around in a game using the arrow keys but when I play it back, nothing happens.

Is this a broken feature or am I doing something wrong? I searched for "input recording" here and found a post by someone asking that the bugs in the input recorder were fixed but that was in version 1.3.
I'm using the most recent version and I can't get it working at all.

Sorry if this has been asked many times before, I couldn't find anything other than that one post.

It is still broken. It may work few minutes or seconds before it loses sync.

Ah ok. For me it doesn't work at all (not input seems to be recorded, when I try to play back the file, absolutely nothing happens) but if it's broken anyway that doesn't matter.

Did this ever get fixed? I can't seem to produce any *.inp files?

They should probably take that option out of the interface then. Hmph!

Thanks for the link.
