Gotek/HxC LCD Mod

Hello all,
Looking for some confirmation before I start this mod.
I ordered the resistors and LCD module to add "Normal" mode to my Gotek with HxC firmware on it. It has the latest firmware.
I have found a couple threads and pictures on the webs, but no definite how to or diagrams. So I mocked one up.

Anyone who has done this, is this correct?

It says no where, but I will assume that the additional "Enter" button goes to ground?

I will update this thread with pictures of the mod as I go along.

Thanks,
Ron

Sweet!
Thank you for the confirmation.
I expect to get the display in within the next couple days. Hope to do the mod this weekend.
Again, I will post here as to my progress.

Thanks,
Ron

Thanks Supaduper!
I had that post. It was just a little vague on some points.

I got the resistors and the LCD in last night. The display was super cheap at around $6.00 UDS. I could have gotten it cheaper from China, but this was a US seller on "the other bay". ;)
The resistors (10 ea.) was cheap as well, around $2.00 USD. I already had a momentary N/O switch, but I think I bought 4 of them for less than $1.00 USD. Some wire off an old ATX case and a little soldering.
Now that I know it works, i'll mount the button in the front of the Gotek and temp mount the display somewhere until I can mount it permanent somewhere.

Now for the pix.
Here is the corrected diagram:

And a picture of the LCD display:

Here is another, showing it working as DF2:

Here is a top view of the Gotek:

And a closeup of the resistors:

One end of each tapped into +5vdc and the other end of one tapped into SLC and the other tapped into SDA.

It was very cheap and easy. Now I can hit the button to unmount the disk, browse the USB drive and find the file I want. Hit the button again to mount it. :D
I don't mind using the Autoboot.hfe for DF0:, but hate the idea of having to swap the Goteks to program DF1: or DF2:.

Thanks for tuning in.

Ron
