WinUAE "save state" to include the current state of floppies.
Would it be at all possible to have an additional "save state" function to include saving the current state of the floppies with the "save state" feature?
Eg, when you "save state" it creates a copy of the floppies that are in use and saves them into a folder under the name of the save state? Then when you recall the save state .uss it recalls the saved floppies. The reason for my request is that if you are playing a floppy game and you save state but then continue with your game the floppies are modified so when/if you want to go "back" to the save state it won't work properly because you have different modified floppies from when you saved state. I hope you understand what I'm trying to get at. :great EDIT: Also apologies if it's been asked before. :D |
Unfortunately it isn't that simple.
What if game writes to disk, then you switch to other disk and save state? Should both be saved? What if you switched disks 3 times? 4 times? How many disks it should "remember"? What if you change games without restarting emulation? :) In my opinion this only creates more problems than it solves. |
Damn switching disks! Yeah, you're right. Hmmm, back to the drawing board for me. :D
