What was the last game to use Rob Northen's Copylock?
My bet would be Chaos Engine 2 but I'm not sure. Anyone here who knows more?

Brian Lara's Cricket '96 or the final release of SWOS
Chaos Engine 2 is 1996 as well. This was a very lazy copylock BTW. Just a memory value changed somewhere.
Brian Lara's Cricket was released pretty late in 1996, much later than Chaos Engine 2.
So I guess that these games were also the last ones to use on-disk copy protection, weren't they? Or were there other games after those to use some kind of non-Copylock on-disk copy protection?

Apano Sin was released in 2000, I believe that was full MFM too...
Apano Sin was indeed full MFM and one of the last games I "officially" cracked. :) Protection wasn't too bad at all.
Not too bad as in effective, or fairly easy to defeat?
Protection did its job, not really hard to crack but definitely time consuming.

That one doesn't count... I mean, seriously... who would use "QTX" as a track ID? :) |
