WHDLoad 18.2

Wepl released a new version.

Quote:

18.2 (23.12.2015)
- chg: the WHDLoad install script speaks german now
- fix: some small fixes in the Autodoc file (Psygore)
- fix: small fix in the supplied ITD program to avoid problems while
detecting the destination device
- new: RoadShow added to the example Startup/Cleanup scripts
- fix: dumping of loaded files via resload_DiskLoad was broken
- fix: due to small internal buffer the argument parsing when started
from the CLI did not detect a bad argument (Psygore)
- fix: the blitter wait check (ChkBlitWait/S) now resets the internal
run flag also at word reads to dmaconr on the 68030,
previously only bytes did that (StingRay)
- chg: WHDLoad no longer requests a keyfile and it is no longer
possible to register WHDLoad, if you have a keyfile it is
still loaded/checked and your name will be displayed in the
splash window, Thanks to all registered users!

I'm glad i registered a key ten years ago. I hope you still get donations from time to time. Brought me back into the Amiga thing for sure. :great:bowdown

I hope this doesn't mean the end of development of WHDLoad. That would be a sad demise indeed!

Retro-Nerd 24 December 2015 00:28

Surely not. Wepl would have mentioned it somewhere. :)

ptyerman 24 December 2015 00:32

It's just reminiscent of some stuff in the past where registration ended and not long after development stopped. Probably just me being pessimistic! Hopefully. :D

Gzegzolka 24 December 2015 00:47

I do not understood, but I hope development will not end.

Retro1234 24 December 2015 05:23

Christmas wishes to Wepl and all the WHDload Team:great

dlfrsilver 24 December 2015 11:35

Thanks to Wepl for allowing everybody to use whdload with a key :)

Ditto. :)

I'm glad to buy my key too :) WHDload it's great tool. Saves me lot of time if I have to search for different configurations for winuae.

I guess those of the generation to be arsed about it have already brought it, most young pups interested will just go for the romzzzzz and play the games not bother trying to get a workbench setup or anything like that like us old farts.

I finally registered a few months ago, glad to do so. Thanks for all your work, WHDLoad Team.

trixster 24 December 2015 15:50

Totally happy to have registered whdload years ago. It's probably kept the Amiga hardware alive longer than any other piece of software.

jotd 24 December 2015 15:51

Bert is a generous guy!

Each year he sent the main (active) slave developers some cash, because of the registrations.
Considering he has a lot of stuff to pay with the website, I think donations will still be welcome.

vulture 24 December 2015 17:04

Quite certainly, best money I've ever spent for any piece of amiga software!
Well, that and ImageFX.

I can also assume that whoever cared to register it has done so already and that's why it's now free, which is great, but I do hope that whdload will be developed and improved (even) further.

ShK 24 December 2015 17:10

Hallo Bertr and thank you, very nice! :great

But is the development over, please noooooo? :confused

modrobert 24 December 2015 17:43

Proud to be registered! \o/

WHDLoad 18.2 seems to work fine, been testing a bunch of slaves.

ptyerman 24 December 2015 17:53

Over on amiga.org someone has said that bert posted on facebook that development will continue and nothing has changed. Thankfully!
It was me just being pessimistic after all! :laughing

blasterreal 24 December 2015 18:05

I bought 1-2 months ago :) but I think I have support

dlfrsilver 24 December 2015 18:14
