Amiga Forever v6.0 - CD Edition
Hello all,
Not really sure where to post this question, hopefully this is the correct place... I recently aquired "Amiga Forever v6.0 - CD Edition" as I am missing some Kickstart ROMS and wanted to get them. Unfortunately I've checked the CD-ROM and the only files I can find are the following: amiga-boot-a1000.rom amiga-ext-130-cdtv.rom amiga-ext-310-cd32.rom amiga-os-100.rom amiga-os-110.rom amiga-os-120.rom amiga-os-130.rom amiga-os-204.rom amiga-os-300.rom amiga-os-310-cd32.rom amiga-os-310.rom rom.key I need to find the following Kickstart ROMS that I'm missing: Kickstart v3.1 (A4000) {size 524288} A1000 Bootstrap {size 65536} Should these be on the "Amiga Forever v6.0 - CD Edition" somwhere? :help |
Maybe they are not on the CD.. also you cannot request them on eab I'm afraid!
|
Thanks bippym. Yup, I know I cannot request them here.
Just a bit puzzled as the only reason why I bought the "Amiga Forever v6.0 - CD Edition" was to get the missing Kickstart ROMS that I was missing... :crying |
There are ways to get these things without the need for buying pointless software!
|
I thought you could download them for free if you had a valid licence on the cloanto website. This was some time ago so I'm not sure if it's still there.
|
Thanks Rotr, I have a serial number.
I'll check the website. Hopefully the ones I'm missing are there... Bit strange how they are not on the CD though. :nuts |
Hmmm, took a look at http://www.cloanto.com/ and http://amigaforever.com/ but couldn't find this facility anywhere.
Damn... |
Redirect the rom path in winuae to your shared folder in amiga forever.( an example would be C:\Program Files\Cloanto\Amiga Forever\Emulation\shared\rom\" ) Rescan for roms. Now go back to roms tab in winuae, select amiga-os-310.rom from the shared folder and it will appear in the winuae bootrom window as Kickstart v3.1 (A4000)(Cloanto) rev 40.68 (512k). Amiga forever has all the roms you need in the shared folder, they just use different names (amiga-os-310.rom etc.) then what you're used to. Also amiga-boot-a1000.rom will be the a1000 bootstrap rom you are looking for. You can always rename these roms since you have the originals safely on cd.

I think the missing roms are sold seperately, on the "plus pack" ...

roms on cd
DamienD, You have listed the following roms found on your cd ( I believe AF6 CD version contains the plus pack with all amiga roms up to 3.1 and 3.1 cd32 AKIKO)
amiga-boot-a1000.rom amiga-ext-130-cdtv.rom amiga-ext-310-cd32.rom amiga-os-100.rom amiga-os-110.rom amiga-os-120.rom amiga-os-130.rom amiga-os-204.rom amiga-os-300.rom amiga-os-310-cd32.rom amiga-os-310.rom These are all the roms you need if you are going to play games. if you burn isos to use as cd32 games you will use both cd32 roms in winuae. amiga-ext-310-cd32.rom will go in the extended rom window and amiga-os-310-cd32.rom will go in the bootrom window for playing cd32 games. I have gotten every single whdload game to run using amiga-os-310.rom even if the game is ocs, ecs or aga, But you have kickstart 1.3 (amiga-os-130.rom) and 2.0 (amiga-os-204.rom) if you want to use them. |
Thank you for the info gunbot. :)
