Paint program

I'm throwing out a request to the Amiga Gurus that reside on here.

I remember a paint program that I used to love on my A500 before Digi Paint came along. The one thing I rememberr is that it had a color cycling tool, which created a decent (for it's time) effect, especial if used for water.

Any ideas on what it was called?
:help

This didn't happen to be deluxe paint II did it? I remember some colour cycling and that was the only paint program I had. Maybe someone else can verify.

yep the Deluxe Paint serie had the cycle tool, i think it was switched on and off with the TAB key

Oh.....question, what are the benefits if identifying yourself as a "Zone Friend"?

jviper 24 March 2006 03:29

Ok......wow.......downloaded DPaint 4.5, and it's like I'm seeing it got the first time! It's great! Now, I'm curious what DPaint 5 looks like ;) . It must be great. Oh, I heard that Lightwave was sort of incoorperated in Deluxe Paint 5. Is this true?

It identifies you as a pirate who supports illegal copies ;)

jviper 24 March 2006 17:09

Oh........well......I'm not a pirate :nervous
Well, I heard somone was going to upload DPaint V??? ;) :D

jviper 25 March 2006 18:01

Ok, I found it on Planet Emulation.....he he. After I figured out how to download from there. Interesting the site didn't work with Internet Explorer.

jviper 04 September 2006 18:16

Ok, I just downloaded DeluxePaintV from PlanetEmulation. When I install it, it asked for a registration key. Would it be possible for someone to provide me with a key :bowdown (I know, I sound like a pirate)

I have Deluxe Paint 5.2 I can upload to The Zone no key required.
installed in winuae running 3.1 and tested
4 disc set, main program, extra's, media and examples

jviper 06 September 2006 01:47

Sure, that would be great! Thanks!

Downloaded :)

But it sure sucks, what you have to back-up all your stuff from an old system to a new system, and not all of your stuff makes it. Oh well. Slowly rebuilding.

You should try out Personal Paint 7 - it's better than Deluxe Paint 5 (unless you need to access HAM* modes), and was released publicly on Aminet.

jviper 07 September 2006 00:31

Ok, I heard that they were planing on adding some kind of 3d support to DPaint, something like pairing lightwave to it, or somthing like that. I don't renember which version this was planned to be done to. Ofcource, I could have just misheard completely.
