s2325 30 November 2008 22:25

thank you

Galahad/FLT 30 November 2008 22:35

Extase?

FA18 Interceptor

Starglider

Interphase

Shoonay 30 November 2008 22:35

Thanks TCD, some nice tunes you've got there :)

I think the intro or the in-game muzak of Legion had a long sample phase repeating several times, but it certainly wasn't as monothemed as those ;)

Coagulus 30 November 2008 22:47

Motorola Invaders used a looped Metallica sample I think. Vroom, Starray and Fighter Bomber all had sampled title tunes.

You're welcome :)
Garrison also had a guitar loop on the title screen (have to rip this ne too :D)

Shoonay 30 November 2008 22:57

Wow, love the classical/orchestral samples from Fugger & Kampf um Eriador. Got a working ADF's of those? (English versions? :cheese)

Also, this sample from China Shop struck me like a lightening with nostalgic memories, but I can't quite focus those.
Downloading the game from planetemu didn't really help since I can't get it to work on neither of the standard configs (A500 512KB+512KB, A500 1MB, A1200 4MB) I've tried, and it only loads up to the title screen (which seems new to me, so I don't quite know why I know this tune so well).
Any suggestions?

s2325 30 November 2008 23:02

ADF from planetemu of China Shop is marked with [b] (bad dump)

Shoonay 30 November 2008 23:04

Oh, so that's why... knowing my luck there's no proper version anywhere... :(

I don't think there is an english version of one of the games. Kampf um Eriador is a very simple AmigaBasic strategy game, so there is almost zero chance that it ever gets a 'fan translation' ;)
I really thought I got China Shop working, but it seems that the disk is really broken :(

Ooops Up http://hol.abime.net/2308 - used sample from Snap as music.
The Wall http://hol.abime.net/1658
I also think Top Secret used some kind of looped sample http://hol.abime.net/5297

Most Frames games had one long sample as the music:

9 Lives
Badlands Pete
Prince

Also Bermuda Project from Mirrorsoft.

s2325 17 December 2008 02:14

9 Lives? Are you sure?

Codetapper 17 December 2008 06:29

My memory is a bit hazy but I thought it was one long sample for the intro music - the in-game music is a special mod. The other 2 Frames games are definitely long samples!

The Afterburner intro music is also a bunch of samples repeating over and over.
