just found this in the zone. very cool. removing sdl makes it even better. :great

one thing: it constantly spit out "Cpu_Core_Normal_Run" in the shell, i started dosbox. can it be switched off or disabled in later version? i think this takes some cpu time too. it also writes "dosbox_debug.log" with lines from amiga-shell window. I try to create a dosbox.conf file.

It's not meant to be used yet you big silly, those are all just debug builds for coding the 68k core. The release version will not contain any debugging information and will of course be a lot faster :)

emufan 26 January 2013 12:17

big silly you say - emufan it is. but I got your point. so i just sit and wait, watching what comes next ;)

I really LOVE the projects from NovaCoder! :)
It is seldom to met such a nice and friendly coder. ;)

NovaCoder 06 February 2013 09:52

Wing Commander 2 68k anyone?

spajdr 06 February 2013 10:07

Yummy, hows the speed on your config Nova?

NovaCoder 06 February 2013 10:13

Very slow but it's early days!

viddi 06 February 2013 10:36

Hey NovaCoder, just watched your WCII video.
Very promising! :great

Will DosBox AGA have RTG support?

NovaCoder 06 February 2013 11:19

Nope, I'm not really interested in adding RTG to my ports these days.

NovaCoder 08 February 2013 04:36

arise grandson...

Sorry for the crappy audio recording, it actually sounds just fine.

:)

Does it make me a bad person to use ScummVM code within DosBox?

I can see that this is going to need quite a bit of ScummVM AGA render code copied over.....

May only if someone will know it. ;)

Reido 11 February 2013 17:21

NovaCoder you are a legend!! Only discovering the joys of ScummVM this week and am following the rest of the ports with huge interest! Especially DosBox, keep up the great work, and thank you!!

NovaCoder 12 February 2013 10:12

NovaCoder 14 February 2013 11:17

DosBox AGA

I've always wanted to play this on my A1200.

;)

You are the man.

fishyfish 22 February 2013 15:11

Damn you Novacoder. Thanks to your project videos, and my lack of willpower to not watch them I only have 20 or so megabytes of data left on my internet for the next 8 days :-)
Seriously though, good stuff.

Where are you located by the way? Somewhere in Melb. if I recall correctly? Would be great to get a few amiga fans together for a few beers one day. Preferably ones whom Ive not pissed off over the years (short list) :-)

NovaCoder 22 February 2013 23:00

That's cool, glad you like the vids :-)

yes, I live in SE Melbourne. do you ever go to the local Amiga meetings?

fishyfish 23 February 2013 04:38

Nah, probably wont either. Too far away for me (and I cant drive for medical reasons). Would require 2 train trips and a bus/cab/whatever.

Not to mention my vocalization towards a member that I wanted to perform cosmetic surgery on his head with a baseball bat. Im over it now, but there's always the risk of it resurfacing should said member decide to antagonize me again :-)
Im not usually a violent man, but much like anyone have my irrational triggers.

This is getting to be a habit of yours.

Perhaps you would like to explain how your post above this one (second paragraph) could lead to misinterpretation.
