Game with Robots ?
 

Hi my friend is trying to find an old amiga game

Info:

-Amiga 500 or 1000 game
-Drive a small robot like Ed 209 (robocop) and destroy opponent or opponents
-2 or 3 Players ?
-2D game Viewpoint like Heroes of Might and Magic 2
-During the match various types of weapons appeared (missiles,shields...)
-Different arenas where you can fight

Like Cody said it could be Steel Empire (aka Cyber Empires) but you don't pick up weapons or shields, but neither do you in my suggestion. :-/
