It seems to work ok (I was a bit worried that it might explode when I first powered it up, but so far so good :)). I can't really work out where to plug the PCMCIA card thingy into my PC though, maybe I don't have the correct slot?

On the left side of the Amiga (1200 or 600) you find the pcmcia slot.

For pc ? Well you need to use laptop then.. But why ?
