A boulder dash game

This one is tough.

Back in the day I remember playing a game called "Boulder Dash". I wasn't aware of it at the time but there quite alot of games named "boulder dash". I've been trying to find the specific version in question but had no luck so far.

The only thing I can remember about it, and this will sound strange, and that is it involved green...cheese-like stuff that slowly ate away the screen until you died. (freak aint it?). Does this ring any bells? :nuts

Have a look at this site: http://amiga.emucamp.com/emerald/ you might find the game that you are after (or a title might jog your memory)

Unfortunately your description covers almost all of games derived from the the Kingsoft Emerald Mines games

In the original BoulderDash game (Atari 800 and C64), level M had the "green cheese-like stuff" that ate away the screen. It is actually supposed to be magma and has a bubbling sound effect. (that's my favourite level!)

Get any Atari 800 or C64 emulator and Boulderdash and select level M from the intro screen. If using Amiga, you can get Boulderdäsh from Aminet (great configurable Amiga version of BoulderDash) or the ACE emulator (Atari 800 emulator) or MagiC64 (C64 emulator). If you have problems finding anything, I can post links.

Boulderdäsh:
http://aminet.net/package.php?packag...oulderfull.lha

Start on Cave A, Level 16, and use the ClassicC64 graphics and sound. (unfortunately, nobody made Atari 800 graphics sets for Boulderdäsh).
