Something that I forgot to add is that most of the comments regarding outdated programs/libs in this thread are now addressed.
The time that I can devote to this project is still very limited but hopefully, -now that it's on GitHub- others can fork it and adjust it to their liking if needed.

Mystery amigados reboot
 

Maybe my 3.2.2.1 install wasn't quite "vanilla enough"? I'm not being very lucky.

It reboots to AmigaDOS telling me that Intuition want to reset the Workbench screen and that I should close the unclosable AmigaDOS screen. Sounds like P96 is trying to set my screen mode, but things aren't in order.

I've got image backups and can very easily experiment. What I'm unsure of is posting a screenshot here. Bit of a forum noob.

FOLLOWUP: Yes, indeed. All the stuff I had beforehand, already installed must have interfered. From clean to BestClassic definitely provides a better experience hehehe

@a-tho if we can pinpoint the exact files that need `+rwe ALL` I would happily add that to the install script. I haven't run into this issue locally myself.

I installed to PFS 3 partition...The following files need the executable protection bit set in your latest BestClassicWB release...

C:FBlit
C:FText
C:FPPrefs

Without this fix, it will not boot. Now you know the files to fix, hopefully you can now sort the problem.

Second bug is I note you replaced TinyMeter with Newmeter... Newmeter CPU usage gauge is throttling the CPU... I found to fix this problem, uncomment IDLETASK tooltype in NewMeter's icon (WBStartup) drawer.
