i bought an an A500 for £399.99, later on i bought a 1mb expansion for £60.00 and a single floppy drive for £80.00
a few years later i bought an A1200 again £399.99, then a dual floppy drive for £100.00. my A1200 got stolen (amongst other things), about 2 months later... it took about 3 months for the insurance company to pay out... meanwhile... the A1200 had dropped to £299.99. i spent £2000.00 in two days, being about 17, £2000.00 seemed quite alot of money to spend in two days!!! |

Like Djay, it'd be £399 on the Amiga Batman pack back in 1989 I think, the same year Bloodwych was released. Yes I'm a few years older than you Mick_AKA, hitting 26 now.
![]() The bonus however is that I grew up in the computer golder age, starting with Vic-20's, Spectrums, C-64's, CPC464's and then onto Atari ST's, megadrives SNES's and of course Amiga's. I really feel privileged to live through these special computing years when home machines where taking there first steps. ![]() Rant over, back on topic. ![]() Second would be my A1200, originally bought with 40MB HD. Can't remember the price, but probably around 300-350 quid. The third most expensive Amiga item would be my MicroVitec multisync monitor, costing about £299 back in 1993. Whatever the price was for a new A600HD with 30MB HD when they just came out. Kind of like the Epic pack (there was no such pack in Germany).

I just got a 7 speed Cuisinart blender from Spiegel, and it only cost $90!
I am amazed, because what I wanted was ove $200.00. The only difference between the 2 I can discern is that the expensive one processes 3 times as much in the same amount of time. Big deal, the most I cook for is two

Same here Bloodwych, £399 for my Batman pack in 1991.
Then it died about 9 months later so I returned it (without games)and they gave me a brand new one with new copies of the games!! So I had 2 copies of Batman the Movie Interceptor and New Zealand Story. I then sold them and bought something else

No one really expensive individual item in my A1200 setup, but added together it cost about £1,300.
Over a couple of years, I just added a bit here, a bit there...and I bought new, from Amiga suppliers, with their over-the-top prices. My most expensive purchase overall was the Brooklyn Bridge. I am waiting for Fred to mail me the deeds. |

My first Amiga cost £499.99!!
The Screen Gems pack from some catalouge here in England. they were always more expensive but the only way to get one at the time as you didnt have to pay for it all at once. A complete rip-of however. Oh well, wasnt me who paid for it.. One of the first things I remember playign was a demo of Hero Quest which I thought was fantastic and that robot game 'Metal Machine Warriors" or something similar??!? I enjoyed that althoguh it was slated. But having just had an C64 which had been broke for 4 months I was easily pleased |

48 pounds for a 512K RAM expansion! Beat that! I got it after reading the It Came from the Desert review, which I ended up not liking at all.
