Once, Deli the Grey was turned into a tiny creature by global witchcraft, then eaten alive by an anteater. He had read in L. Carroll's chapter from "Alice in Wonderland" about a potion to make anyone bigger in size that was to be found deep down into some rabbit's hole.

However, due the continuous amount of ants piling up in the anteater stomach, he couldn't climb back to escape through its elongated nose. So he decided to patiently wait for the voracious animal to poo poo. When it happened, he was covered with feces and couldn't ask his way without putting off all of the forest creatures. He walked and walked but there were no magical potion to regain his previous shape, nor intriguing rabbit hole to jump into.

After he went home, he shrugged, and decided to take this series of events as an opportunity to make up a new "Deli in Amigaland" story.

The story starts with these words : "Tumbling down the anteater's dark hole..." It wasn't such an extraordinary a story compared to Alice's, as no child would have liked to fall from THAT hole, but it was HIS own adventure he was proudly telling !

I am now a proud member of v2 of Sensi's unofficial OTS continuation board (Cf. his sig for the URL).

Needless to say, it is not about making jokes about eab, but about making jokes like it was allowed on eab a few months ago, in small committees.

netcomet.info's ENG Download Pad welcomes you. It should be fully operational in August 2008 <- It IS, I always keep my promises !

Boy, it was a lengthy process, yet worth the trouble !

I uploaded many videos captures of old games (Amiga, also C64, & consoles related), mostly collected on YouTube. Quality of the videos may vary, so please, give us some time to clean up the categories completely.

Of course, you'll find there each & every Amiga games of which I have made "HD" repacks of.

    Enjoy !

"Some people think that retro-gamers can be a nightmare
But we believe that they can be a dream
For where they will go neither nerd nor n00b dare
We're the EAB's Head Tavern Ladies Bowling Team

Some people like those modern screens, flat and uninspiring
And polish them until they shine and gleam
But we think the old-fashioned ones are just as good
We're the EAB's Head Tavern Ladies Bowling Team

Some people say the sight of pixelated sprites would scare them to death
And when they see them they begin to scream
But if you want to win you've got to beat us at SOTB
We're the EAB's Head Tavern Ladies Bowling Team"

Let’s do the Amiga Time Warp again !

The wait is over ! Amiga emulation is something that can be considered reliable now.
In fact, you can obtain a full-fledged AmigaOS environment with a few efforts and the necessary roms at hand.

We don't want to sound emphatic here, but really too much crap has been said about Amiga roms copyright issues, and bad habits of thinking have plunged some Amiga UAE users into the darkness of complex system issues, and thus increased the necessary steps to gain a satisfying “Workbench” experience.

With that in mind, the choices we were facing were really limited. Sure, Cloanto solution has been around for a long time and admittedly benefit from a legal setup. But then, what about manual updates ? What about building an AmigaOS environment from scratch, in order to have your own settings, your own configs and so on... ?

So I Deleauvive, at UAE Conjuration headquarters, have decided to join efforts with those who offer the real deal. In a time when Commodore is selling PCs and their partners have largely abandoned Amiga hardware, why would so many Amiga veterans continue to discourage us from running Amiga applications and games (who are for the most part 15-20 years old) ?

By the way, is the Amiga an abandoned platform ? The Amiga story is filled with heroic stories of plans, expectations and yes, abandoned projects. The notion of vaporware, aka game studios pretending they're still doing stuff for the Amiga when in fact they shifted to the Windows market can be considered an invention specific of the classic Amiga platform. But then, our goal is not to add to the lament over what was lost and will never be again.

Amiga has almost completely failed the computer-related challenges from the late 90s. Not unlike Sega, the company concentrated its power in the software area when the hardware support was in danger. AmigaOS 3.5 and then AmigaOS 3.9 were released as a final testimony of their grandeur and decadence.

Not only Amiga failed on the hardware side, but the strong point of Amiga, the graphics and animations of popular arcade games were superior in their coin-op cabinets counterparts. Still, there are hundreds of games to be rediscovered, some specific to the Amiga, some well-done remakes. Unfortunately, Amiga freaks wanted so hard to believe the AGA chipset was an undeniable answer to the decline of the machine, that they tended to promote mainly the games from this era (like Flood and Walker).

Add this to the convenient HD installers that were made for these games only, a somehow better playability for those games brought out in the 90s, an involvement of buffs from "legendary" game studios such as Psygnosis or Team 17 and you get the picture. Who consider playing Populous () or Sentinel () today ? Yes, sir ! That might be the PC enthusiast who genuinely bought its copy of the remake from a big store.

This PC enthusiast who is treated unwisely because did not bother installing linux of his computer, we want to thank him heartedly at UAE Conjuration HQ. Run MAME and see for yourself : Amiga ports aren't as pretty. So are these infamous PC users wrong when they prefer to play games developed with today's standards and usability in mind ?

When facing such momentous hypocrisies, the only way left is to act proud. Act to collect roms, act to run the games on the platform of our choice, and act to publicize our findings. Well, obviously, you will notice some of the material included in our releases may still be marginally sold today. Note that you are responsible for using it, that and we cannot guarantee any damage or inconvenient won’t occur in doing so.

Obviously, there will not be support for the provided downloads, not in the strictest sense. But you get the idea, you won't need extensive support if you make the effort to fully understand what you are doing with those.

Going through the headaches and suffering from the limitations resulting from the way workbench interacts with the roms is a sufficient hassle. We consider that a careful selection of the assets that will be used in order to obtain our running copy of AmigaOS will generate enough visibility to Amiga brands and logos that the benefit will be superior to the harm, in the "opportunity cost" perspective.

It wouldn’t be wise to use AmigaOS roms and utilities for business purposes, and obviously to resell the involved tools and program. This said, feel free to experiment by yourself, add or remove programs, games, demos from the directories used by WinUAE. Yu have the possibility to create music, graphics, datasheets on the Amiga like In the good old days. Your are also free to use it only for gaming purposes, as the Amiga was the King at fulfilling our computer-related gaming needs for many years !

As technical, historical, controversial discussions could continue endlessly without letting potential users decide between right or wrong for any of the involved parties, it is time to start examining the goods, before implementing the AmigaOS the way it was meant to be.
