Hello :)
Well I am just returning to Amigas after moving away from them about 15 years ago. I recently tried the emulators on pc but wasnt too happy with them as it just felt wrong, then weeks of looking on ebay but getting out bid.
Then just last night, walking into my block past the binroom I noticed a familiar shape, then another and another, all sticking out the top of a bin, so in total there was an A1200, four A500, five A500+, external hard drive for the A500 which think has accelerator board in it. I havent had much chance to look over them all yet as got no PSU (on its way from ebay). Then I got to get some software for them. The A1200 has a 030 accelerator card and a hard drive so am hoping that all works ok. Was told that they cleared out some old guys flat and was tons of the stuff, the rest had already gone in a skip .

Wow that's quite a nice find to make!
![]() Perhaps you can sell the stuff you don't want via Amibay or eBay and use the money to put more upgrades on to the 1200? Welcome to the boards

Well so far so good, have got the PSU, had the A1200 on my old portable tv and its like going back in time, workbench loaded up on the hard drive and the accelerator card works, a Apollo 1230 Turbo LC with 8mb, have got to clean the case up as was covered in bright orange stickers!!
The A500s have a variety of cards in, one have identified as a power pc XT card with ram, that has a GVP hard drive and ram attached to it, others have variations of 501 modules or other ram upgrades, all seem to work. |
