Roger Rabbit

Hi everybody!

There's a second Roger Rabbit game - not "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" - but a second one. I've seen it reviewed in a swedish magazine a long time ago, back in 1991 or so. I don't remember much about it, except that the graphics were very cartoony-like, reminding a little of Premiere from Core. I think in one screen Roger was running around in a kitchen doing something. Does anybody have any information on this game? Full title name? Developer? Year? Disksize? Any information appreciated!

Maybe a moderator found the name and just didn't want to post and just edited the title?

Yes, I got a private message and the thread was updated before anybody had written anything. Thanks a lot! I now found this game on aceroms and am currently struggling to get it to run. ;-)

It is a hd only game, but you don't need more than 1MB ram to run it. Just put in the first disk and it will install itself on hd, from where you can play it afterwards.

Does this game run with kickstart 3.0? Because otherwise it'll be a little difficult running it here, I think.

Arrow Game doesn't work

Let's bring this up again.
Sorry folks, the TOSEC version doesn't work.
Overdoc, do you happen to have used a different, non-TOSEC version of the game for testing?

Game behaves like this:
I get a manual check (!) at the beginning, which seems to mean that the TOSEC version of the game is NOT cracked!
You can go on after pressing fire, but if you press fire again the game bails out (CLI prompt!)
This might not happen if the game was cracked. I'm beginning to believe it isn't.

Ah, yes, I remember I also had difficulties with this game. It has been a long time since I installed it on my great 20MB !! A-500 hd
But I know I got it running several times because I played it until ( I think ) level 3 where I got stuck and didn't know what to do.
As far as I can remember I downloaded the game from Dreamzone back then.
I think I had a problem that there was some blue screen at the start and sometimes I couldn't get past it.
But I will load it up again and see. Maybe I can remember then what it exactly was and how I got it running ?

Evil grin

Ok, I fired up the HD after all that time, and you are right, it bails out after the manual protection.
Damn
I don't know how I got it running back then. Only thing I can remember is that I had problems getting it running, but it worked at least sometimes.
Also when testing it now, I got at least the intro running after about each 3rd attempt by just clicking joybutton for 0 items, but then it returns to dos after the intro - grrr....

If I find out I will let you know !

Hey, UPDATE:

Got it running now after I switched my Amiga to 1MB chipram instead of 512k chip/512k other memory.

Hope you get it running, too !
It really is a nice game with very good animations

Level 1 came to mind again rather easily, but I cannot really remember exactly about level 2.
Seems it's time to play that game again.
Last time I stopped playing I remember ther was one level in the garden ( level 3 or 4 ? ) I couldn't pass.

Smile NOW THE GAME WORKS FOR EVERYONE!

Guys, a miracle has just happened!

I've just found the lost 7th disk from Hare Raising Havoc!!

On my magic DMS CD, of course.
Imagine what's on this disk: the CRACKED Roger executable!!!
Now things make sense. The original Roger file is in fact an original, and not just the emulator bails out, but also the real thing because the manual check is still in!

So the SKID ROW release had not 6 disks, but 7!
6 disks originally from the publisher ... the 7th makes the difference!
In the zone!
I just tested it - copy the cracked Roger executable over your HD-installed version ... and voilą!

Could somebody post the number 7 disk again, I seem to have misplaced it somewhere (happens more often than I'd like to admit).

TIA
