Looking for a game title, please help?!
The game is a 'breakout/arkanoid' style game. It came on a free disk on an early 1990s edition of CU Amiga magazine. On the same disk was a Mahjong game as well about 5 other games.
Layout was very simple. |

Hey smutler69,
If you are talking about getting it running on your PC then you will need WinUAE (Amiga emulator) http://www.winuae.net/. Afterwards: You could try checking the FAQs: http://eab.abime.net/faq.php I wrote a brief description in this thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=22806 (desperatly seeking stable masters) You can also find some information about WinUAE and options here: http://www.pcguru.plus.com/uae_faq.html ...and finally you can check out Paul's excellent, informative and extensive "The Green Amiga Alien Guides" here: http://guide.abime.net/

That was very helpful. Thankyou.
However, I still have a small problem. I don't actually have a floppy disk drive. I have downloaded some games that obviously aren't on disk. All the emulator advice seems tailored to people with floppy disks. Do you know any way around it? Thanks again. Edit: What happens is that after I enter the C\WINUAE... extension in the df0 floppy drive box on WINUAE, the usual amiga load screen appears with the hand and disk and white background. Then, nothing happens. I expect it is waiting for me to enter a floppy disk, but of course I can't do that. Last edited by smutler69; 13 May 2006 at 21:02. |

No problem
As I'm sure you've worked out you don't actually need a phsyical floppy disk drive, just insert an .adf, .dms, or .ipf file into the DFO:, DF1:, DF2: or DF3: etc. and your away... Like you probably read in the FAQs, http://www.planetemu.net/ is a good source for games. It's a bit out-of-date in terms of it's TOSEC collection but here you will find many "old memories" for download. Have fun
