Lightbulb C.A.P.S. in H.O.L. ?

I have got a suggestion:

Can we open a category for C.A.P.S. in H.O.L.?
Like JST or WHDLoad... I think, it wil be useful.

What do you think?

PS: I know, in fact, RCK's answer: "No time Magix, no time"

It's a good idea and in private discussions Twistin' has also expressed a wish for this.

So, hopefully we'll see it in the next update!

Cool

But hopefully it won't be too long before you might as well take it out again.

Well, this is obviously entirely up to you guys

However, I was thinking something like you have for JST & WHDLoad

JST install yes
WHD install yes
xxx yes

where xxx is IPF or CAPS, or perhaps just the word "preserved".

Oh, and in case you are wondering, we will have a link to HOL in the next version of our site (under development). Sorry it took so long

apart from just a yes/no how about a partially as well, for when games have been preserved but there are still known versions of it that haven't been preserved

Do you mean like AGA/OCS versions? Or perhaps regional differences? Would this also benefit being extended to WHDLoad/JST?

aga and ocs games are seperate entries in HOL so it wouldn't be used for that, but yeh regional differences, like the us version is preserved but not the eu, or the german version is preserved but not the english (although some german games have german names, not all of em do), or when a game is known to have different version numbers 1.0 1.1 etc etc

IMO that is really only worth it if you want to do also the same for WHDLoad etc. I don't really think people are going to care much about what version has been preserved, and since we will do other versions when found it only means having to update that info...

Perhaps you have a different view?

... and I certainly do not expect people to used HOL to find what games to contribute to CAPS.

That's the thing though, I do expect people will use HOL to find out what they should contribute to CAPS. And I don't want people generating a list of "CAPS'd none" and thinking that's all that's left to dump

Okay, well, I don't necessarily think looking at HOL for that information is the best idea but I guess if we know there are more versions to dump it can't hurt.
