Emulation newbie

Hi All


OK as some of you will know I have been a staunch Amiga user for
as long as I can recall.


I have always used a real Amiga.


I have now had to answer the call for a new more upto date machine.


I have purchased a nice new shiny eMAC, so my question is this.


Can anybody point me in the direction of the best MAC Amiga emulator,
I am using OSX, I also at the moment have no floppy drive, but that can
be resolved. I want to run all my old Amiga software if possible.


I assume that once I have the AMiga emulator installed, I can then run ADF's etc
from my HD.


So any help with all this would be appreciated.

Ah! An eMac..a great value!! Good job.
The original Amiga emulator is macUAe. But there has been a port for OSX called MaxUAE. Get all your Amiga and every other Mac emulator at
www.emulation.net

This is such a neat and well organized site.
maxUAE works fine for me under 10.2. it has alot to be desired compared to WinUAE in terms of compatability, but it's the best Amiga emu for OS X.

Yup, even I have had to let go of the dream I am afraid :(

I will still keep and use my Amiga though :)

Hey Frederic, I still have not tried this emulater yet, now I have my MAC all setup, and ready to start emulating.


Do the downloads from emulation.net contain everything that I will need to start emulating straight away?
