I have collected hundreds of Amiga games the past few months, but now I want to play a specific game which I cannot find in my collection anymore.
It is a scrolling and sometimes flick-screen arcade adventure, featuring a typical Amiga copper-background layer with a colour ranging from blue to black. It is written in Polish or some other East-European language. The game comes on 4 to 6 disks and you have to wield through many introscreens and titlescreens before actually playing the game.
Does anyone know which game I refer to?

Oi! I forgot about this thread! Thanks for bringing it back again. :)
Here's some additional info: The main sprite, a soldier, is controlled by joystick. The scrolling levels look very reminiscent to Shadow of the Beast. The flick-screen levels are beautifully drawn and look like they have the sprites 'pasted' on it.
I don't know what year the game is released, but since it is ECS I guess somewhere around '92/'93.
The title of the game reads like 'Jumping Jack', 'Smart Stephen', 'Frantic Fred' or similar.
That is all the info I can give. I wish HoL featured a search-function that would come up with title-matches based on vague descriptions. ;)

mm nothing springs to mind.... i'll have a think.....
You say the title had 'Jumping Jack', 'Smart Stephen', 'Frantic Fred' in.
Iv'e heard of a couple of the names from other games like jumping jack flash and frantic freddys frontier pharmicie ( i know bad spelling but i'm to lazy to spell check.
sounds a cool game was it action based like sotb or more puzzle based......

Stop looking Lord_Kevelar, I have found the game at HoL. It is Nathan Never (http://hol.abime.net/?id=943)! Amigaboy suggested to look in the database typing in 'x% x%'. After some tries I found the game. It is extremely difficult to play but an arcade adventure worth investing some time in.

Never played Golden Eagle.
I tried out Nathan Never yesterday and I get very irritated by its irky controls.
Does anyone know what to do in this game? All I do is run to the right, enter the screen with the two enemy soldiers, shoot them and that's it. Is there a global purpose in this game?

Three years later and this thread is resurrected. I received a private mail from someone about a possible solution/cheat for this game and I thought I'd share it with you:
(...)The game is actually pretty long, though almost impossible to play.
After you kill the first two soldiers, duck on one of them and fire,
you can collect objects this way. Collect everything, then press the
space bar and activate what you collected, this will show new ways
where you can go.
The game consists of three major levels. There's actually a cheat to
be able to start from levels 2 and 3, and I would *love* to activate
it, to see those levels again, but I can never put myself to do it
because I am not familiar with amiga emulators. The cheat is simply
that one has to set the DMA bit to kill all the sprites (e.g. the
pointer disappears, I can't remember the address but it's something
like $dff096 ???) then you can just run any file that's on the
disk, two of which correspond to levels 2 and 3. Those levels are
actually more playable than the first! Would you by any chance know of
an easy way to make this cheat work, like having an assembly
environment work etc?
Can anyone help?:help
