Does anybody have this game? I have an original of it, but not a crack. The only copies I have seen around the net of this game are, in fact, a coverdisk demo of the game (Amiga Format Coverdisk 17).

I have searched north, south, east and west (ie Everywhere) for this game, to no avail:( the only site's that show up are things about bike racing in the "real" world or selling the original version of the game that you have Twistin'.

The first and only time I played this game (Aside from the Atari ST version though WinSTon, which doesn't count for obvious reasons;)) was on the coverdisk you mention. Maybe this is a game Warlock99 is witholding for the next milestone he reaches with hits to his website, or maybe (hoplefully not) there just isn't an ADF version.

About six months ago (maybe longer) was this discussed at AEN's forum?? (I did say I searched everywhere:D) What was the result of that??

PS. I didn't start the thread at AEN or have any part of it, it showed up with Google:)

I do actually have a cracked version of this game! I didn't realise it was a rare one to be honest. I've never seen it on any request lists. Mind you I thought rogue was rare, so I suppose it works both ways.

It's quite a nice bike racing game actually! It's 2 disks but I also have a 1 disk version that sems to be the preview you're talking about.

If you need any games then just email me. As I say, I've never seen any requests for the ultimate ride before and can't recall receiving any emails asking for it as far as I remember.

I must admit that the site doesn't get updated half as much as I want. Problems with hosts etc seem to be the main things that hold me up and having to re-upload stuff. I've been trying to concentrate on putting the site right before uploading more stuff.

That's part of the reason that diggers 2 was delayed for so long, as well as the family and work issues that I had last year. The milestone was a bit of a reward for loyal visitors really but I was planning to upload it quite a while back in reality. The milestone was also important to me because I didn't expect to have more than 500 visitors ever on my site.

But, I wouldn't want people to think that I held on to diggers 2 a year because I thought, 'I'll just wait until I hit the 50,000 mark.'

I was only joking about waiting 'til you got to another milestone;)

But thank you for uploading Ultimate Ride, I thought I was stuck playing this game on a ST emulator. Maybe I'll help you out one day:p (Maybe a bit hard though seeing as I have no "Real" amiga stuff anymore, but I WILL try:D)

Thanks, Warlock. Strikes that one off the list! After I finally chose my bike and all that, the music kept playing but I was left with only a black screen. Were you able to actually get past this?

@Twistin'

At the blank screen, insert disk #2.

Into DF1: and keep the original Disk 1 in DF0:

At least thats how I got it working, also the game needs kickstart 2.0 to work for me, maybe you could try that as well:D

If inserting disk 2 at the blank screen doesn't work try booting with both disks in, but this game DOES work, I promise:cheese

I have the correct configuration, Twist and Ian..but I did NOT need kickstart 2.0. It is the old reliable ECS 13 configuration from BTTR. Using WinUAE 8.14 R3

Hmm, just been looking through some new stuff i've just got hold of and I've found another version of ultimate ride, but this one is called superbike simulator.

It's definitely seems like the same game. If any of the collectors want me to upload it, then let me know.

It's seems exactly the same apart from the title. I suppose one is probably european and the other usa or something.

Hmm...a list of alternative names for amiga games could be handy? Does anyone have one?

@fred
You nostalgic sap! Hopeless romantic! :cheese
I looked at those links...House Of Broken Icons, more like. What a wasteland...

@warlock
The US games machine is an enigmatic beast that I will never understand. The game is Greg Norman's Ultimate Golf, but in their infinite wisdom, the American publishers decided to call it Greg Norman's Shark Attack! So it is indeed a golf game and not a shark-em-up. :D

Oh, and thanks for the upload! To answer your question, well...OK, here's how it goes:

Enlightenment - Druid II is the sequel to the 8-bit classic game Druid, which was not released on the Amiga. That game was, however, a part of the game Warlock - The Avenger as the introductory level. So in a way, it's kind of like the way The Last Ninja was not released on the Amiga, but it was 'remixed' for the Amiga.

Hehe!

Icy has just told me that he is known as the 'shark' in the golfing arena. I'm not much of a sports fan. So I apologise for my naivity.

So did you ever find it twistin?
