View Full Version : Pool of Radiance\ Black Crypt Saving

I can't seem to get Pool of Radiance to save the game.
I absolutely loved this game and can't save characters!!
I want to finish this game that I once attempted so many years ago.
I have tried a blank floppy created by UAE but it doesn't seem to recognize it. Does anyone have a tip for this?

I am having the exact same problem with Black Crypt.
Also my Black Crypt graphics are screwy, with wrong colors etc..
But mainly I just want to save the damn games!!

...it´s about the name of the disks. I think blackcrypt has a format disk option in the game, use that one to get the correct name. Pools of radiance i guess use a similiar savedisk, try to name the disk the same thing that the game asks for. For e if it says "please insert poolsave in any drive" then you name the disk poolsave. I think you have to load up workbench for this renaming thing...

Otherwhise www.back2roots.org has alot of savedisks in adf format....

the black crypt save disk has to be labelled under workbench or some amiga util as GAMESAVE

not sure why the colours are corrupt tho..

and have u tried savestates under winuae? doesnt work with everything but ive used it sucessfully a few times

I never got a formatted disk to work with saving games for Black Crypt in Win UAE. What you need is a special Black Crypt save disk.

It's in the zone for you now.:)

Plus, you may also have trouble playing and saving games in Black Crypt due to the kickstart version you are using. I have trouble when I use 1.3, but when I use 3.0, I'm alright.

The Black Crypt - Save Disk obtained from "Back To The Roots" is in The Zone! for you ;)

...couldn't, so uploaded it from all the BTTR Save Disks I grabbed a while back :p

Maybe the site will be relaunched some day, who knows. :)
