Hi all,

Well after owning an A1200 when I was a kid I recently bought a second hand A1200 with HDD and other bit's. It came with an WHDload installed and some games on it.

It's going to be fun trying to remember how to use the A1200 after all these years so expecta few questions from me.

Thanks

Welcome to EAB Aberuns

i really recommend an ram expansion if you havent got one already alot of WHDLoad stuff needs more than 2mb chip (and/or fast ram)!

How did you decide to get an Amiga again, had you been emulating before hand?

Everyone will help you out, so ask away...

Get yourself A PCMCIA compact flash adapter, it will save you loads of hastle transfering data. And only a couple of quid from dealxtreme.

Hi Aberuns,
I never did much other than play a lot of games on the miggy. I have a couple of 1200's I have set up with the help of the guys here - so i was in same situation as yourself. They are a great crowd. If there is anything I can do to help out give me a shout.
Welcome to EAB

*EDIT* - If you dont know how to already its great to learn how to use winuae to its full potential. It took me a while but with the help of the guys here i can now use winuae to mount hdds within windows and tranfer loads of data strait to miggy hdd from my laptop. going to start playing around with OS 3.9 and learning how to install that next.
