I put some videos up of some old Amiga games/programs i wrote. i have now sold my Amiga on, but these were recorded from a real Amiga 500 a year or so back. None are complete. they were all written in AMOS as far as i remember.

I assume that means all files and sources are lost now? Bit of a shame, since that Tetris game looks quite nice :)

you're welcome s2325 :)
Thanks CyberDruid, i think i still have the files because im pretty sure i kept all my personal disks, but i dont have an Amiga anymore to play them on. it was in 32 colours and i think the background bit was one of those copper bars so it does use quite a lot of colours onscreen. - it was quite a colourful game
DDNI - haha well i was hoping to make it just like the gameboy version but on the Amiga - i was obssessed with the mono gameboy version. so i hope it would have been good. it copies it exactly in terms of pit size and the place that shapes appear on the screen. i hadnt finished with the control but i was hoping to get that just as repsonsive too...so you never know ;)

Would be an idea to get in contact with someone that still owns an Amiga and ask him to make images of the disks, be it to have digital backups or even share them here :)

This game is obviously based on Atari Tetris, but it isn't the one I been looking for.

DDNI + Akira - haha yes my game was only released in my house, and played by only a few friends. so not the misssing version of Tetris. i remember my friend laughing when he heard the music on my game . i saw a screenshot of the arcade version in a magazine with the little man - and based the layout on that but underneath it's gameboy tetris. i think the arcade version only has one button for rotate? not sure if im right but i would hate that.
well if anyone wants to backup the disks they are welcome. im afraid i may not know which disk it is actually on, so i might need to send a few. its not worth releasing in its current unfinished state (control needs tweaking so its properly playable, and theres lots missing) but if anyone wants to edit it they are welcome - there's a whole menu system and front end somewhere too if i am remembering right. i will have to make sure i definitely have the disks but im sure i kept them.
@Turrican - not sure if you are talking to me, but no i sold my Amiga on - so no new projects now. i have a couple of games i am working on for the PC. they are both on my Youtube channel. one is called Blaze of Glory and the other is called um...Harry Salt and his Quest for Pepper. They are old-style games though. i actually use BlitzMax to program in on the PC which is a continuation of Blitz Basic on the Amiga (I used that after moving on from Amos)

@all, Gibert is sending me his originals... adfs will be here soon
I transferred these disks sometime ago, in the initial communication with Gilbert, he gave permission for these disks to be shared with the community...
...i have connected him by PM, as i wanted to send them to him first (via email)... however he hasnt responded, so i have upped them to Zone as per the original instructions
I will keep a back up on my PC HD, if anyone requires the disks to be re'upped (just ask:))

I've uploaded them to the file server in 'Game/Disk' to preserve them on a permanent location. Hope that is okay?
yeah.. cool... still need to get an ftp util to do that ;)
Gilbert was fairly open about releasing these disks to the public, i am sure he would be fine that the file/server has them permanently stored
