Hi all. Long time since posting on here. :)

Hit a major problem. I've lost my Cloanto Amiga Forever CD along with every single ADF game that I had on one DVD as well as the kickstart ROM's. Gutted is an extremely mild word at this point of time. When I say lost... I believe my wife may had inadvertently chucked it all away while having a major spring clean a few months back. :(

Just recently I've been having a major emulator phase: MAME, ZSNES, FMFE, DOSBOX, SCUMM, and so on. DOSBox being the one used at the moment. However, I desperately miss playing Amiga pinball games (Slam Tilt, Pinball Illusions) as well as other classics like Cannon Fodder, Settlers, Startdust and more. Pinball games don't play well in DOSBox...

Anyhow, sob story over. I can't even remember when I originally purchased the Cloanto Amiga Forever disk as it was that long ago. Anyone got any pointers? I have already submitted this to Amiga Forever (awaiting response) as I know I'd need the license key (also flipping lost).

Got WinUAE. Just the kickstart ROM's.

btw, what's happened to DamienD?? Not seen him around for a while.

If that means you have the kickstart roms then you are good to go.
Google for Amiga games or download Killa's Hd installed games.

Hopefully Cloanto will give you a new download, but if not...

If you didn't make use of (a) the Amiga Forever Player from recent versions of AF (see here (http://www.amigaforever.com/tour/af_player.html)) or (b) the Amiga Forever Workbench 3.x environment (see here (http://www.amigaforever.com/tour/af_wb_3x.html)), then you don't really need the whole Amiga Forever.

All you need is:

the free, open-source WinUAE (get latest stable version from http://www.winuae.net/ or latest beta from http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=53666)
Kickstart ROMs (which we are not allowed to link to from here but which are not too hard to find with Google)
a source of ADFs. It so happens that EAB have an awesome file server (see http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633) which has near enough everything you could possibly want. Look in the TOSEC folder for more ADFs than you can shake a stick at!

My bad. I meant I don't have the kickstart ROM's (which comes on Cloanto Amiga Forever disc). :(

Thanks for all the info guys. I know where to get ADF's and all that and set up WinUAE, etc - just the ROM's to acquire to get me on my way to retro Amiga gaming heaven again. Got no reply from Amiga Forever yet....

Just download the lot again.

There are various sources for it.

Hi killergorilla - great to still see familiar members after my long absent! :D :D

Yep. Looking forward to rebuilding my lost collection. This time it'll all be under lock and key and wife isn't going to know where! ;)

Looking forward to rebuilding my lost collection.Seeing how you had legal ROM images, I'd just download them from somewhere if I were you.
This time it'll all be under lock and key and wife isn't going to know where! ;)Why don't you just tell her not to throw that stuff away because it's important to you? Seems much simpler, and you don't have to keep a secret from your wife :)

All sorted now. :)

Back to retro heaven: Project X, Slam Tilt, Cannon Fodder, Stardust (and Super), Switchblade 2, Toki, Pinball Illusions, Mean Arenas, Flashback and so on. I used to have the complete TOSEC on DVD so it's going to take a while to build up my collection but as I don't have much time like I used to, I'm happy to play these through to end and download other ADF's, etc. as and when.

Didn't take long to figure out WinUAE once again. Only game so far that needed a bit of tweaking was Switchblade II; graphics were corrupt. Being able to save config (uae) is extremely useful.

Absolutely flawless emulator! :D
