No power on a1200

Aargh:help
Please, can someone help me?

a1200/1d1 vanilla +2gb cf
On power on the Led's (incl caps lock) giving a short flash and then nothing
i tried with nothing connected, but still the same
the mobo itself looks ok, nothing burnt, no smell or smoke
sorry no pics, a friend has my camera atm (can take it back tommorow if needed)

the fan of the psu (250w from amikit) stops spinning too.
if i switch on the psu without the mobo the fan spins as it should.

any ideas?
i'll have her just half a year running, that's too short to become a widower:(:crying

It is possible one of the voltage rails in the PSU has died, easiest way is to try a different power supply to try to eliminate either the Amiga or the PSU as the culprit. Connecting the Amiga to your PSU and turning it on could be pulling the voltage down therefore preventing the fan from turning, without the load of the Amiga the fan may have enough juice to turn. try measuring the voltage at the floppy 4 pin header, it should show +5 on one side Red to black) and +12 on the other side (yellow to black)

i don't have a second psu and can't measure till today evening, i have to ask a friend for the tools.
but i plugged the psu to my amithlon machine and there's the same, a very short reaction followed by silence.
i guess it's the psu then, luckily :spin - but will measure later, just to be sure.
