I just picked up a Sony Xperia x10a a couple days ago and have installed it. I copied the 1.3 rom image from my Amiga Forever install and all I get is a blank screen with the frame count and floppy indicators. If no floppy image is available does uaedroid show the hand holding the disk image? Even when I install an adf file, it still does nothing but show the frame rate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you also copy the rom.key file ? AF ROMs are encrypted, UAE needs the key file to decrypt them. Or run WinUAE with a Kick 1.3 config and use transrom to save an unencrypted version of the ROM.

I think UAE4DROID requires an unencrypted ROM file so the Cloanto ones won't work. I have it running on my HTC Desire and its quite nice. Games like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder work really well (with sound). :)

I couldn't get some games to work, for example the Babylonian Twins demo. :(

Its far from perfect though. You can't eject ADFs from the floppy drives for some reason, so once one disk is in a drive it stays there unless you change it for another ADF. It can't be made empty once an ADF has been inserted. Strange.

Also the controls leave a lot to be desired. I wish it was more like the floating transparent controls used in Gensoid and Snesoid.

Why do you say this ? I described above how you can get an unencrypted ROM from Amiga Forever.

I mean the encypted ROMs won't work with UAE4DROID. I don't know about getting an unencrypted file using Transrom. Maybe that will work. But encrypted files definitely don't - it doesn't support them.

@Steve: I had the same problem with UAE4DROID, it started working after i rooted and installed Cyanogen (which was based on Android 1.6) on my phone (not sure why cos i suppose it doesn't require a rooted phone). I had Android 1.5 before.

Could have been a coincident too, maybe i tried i another rom-file after i rooted my phone.

I went and booted WinUAE and tried running transrom, but all it did was display lines and lines of garbage. Transrom is a cli command? Transrom ram:kick.rom would be the correct use of the command at an Amiga cli?
Thanks for all the help.
I did get Frodo64 to work, and I got excited to see ultima 3 again, but it corrupts the d64 files when you attempt to save your progress.
As for the purchase of this phone the sole reason was the uae and frodo run on android and this phone has the biggest screen.
