booting wb v2.0 on a a500 can it be done

hi just a ?

as i need to get crossdos on my a500.
i got files across.using , transdisk and iam playing.
old favs it would be nice for small files.
not to transfer. with a windows computer lol.

can you make a kickrom in to a adf to boot first.
then run workbench os 2 .. as my amiga1000
just died . i used a disk for the kick.

You can softkick your 500 into WB2, provided you have enough memory. At least 2MB of RAM would be needed, since you'll be loading the ROM in a part of memory.

A program like skick and a suitable rom image should do the job.

Try to get Crossdos V4.0 on a real Amigadisk from someone in our area.
It will work also with Kick 1.3 ( maybe Crossdos V5.0, too ? )
The you can simply boot the Workbench 1.3, open a Shell, put in the Crossdos disk and mount df0 as a PC drive 'di0' by typing:
DF0:ATTACH DI0: ( also DI1, DI2,... for DF1, DF2, .... is possible )
