Hi Guys.

The only original disks i have left is 2 KCS PowerPCBoard floppies.
See attachment.

Now i know these are useless unless you have a real KCS PowerPCBoard expansion card installed, but maybe when WinUAE gets KCS PowerPCBoard emulation who knows, it might be good for the "Applications" TOSEC.

I used EasyADF to make ADF's of it.

1 = Version 4.5 English (good dump)
2 = Testversion L5.108 Dutch (Had to install bootblock with x-copy) Sector 0 right side was corrupted. But now it works fine with new bootblock.

If anyone is interested i can upload the ADF's to EAB File Server.

UPDATE : Tested the disks on my real A500 which still has a KCS PowerPCBoard and they work fine :)

Hi there :P
If they aren't available on TOSEC they should be added indeed. I've no idea of what they are, hope i'm not wrong :x
btw, if the 2nd image is added i guess it should have a [f bootblock] flag.

Explanation here.

http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=333

KCS (Kolff Computer Supplies): Power PC Board 500
Emulates: PC
Processor: NEC V-30@11Mhz (8086 clone)
RAM: 1MB Surface Mounted.
(640K for PC programs, remainder for BIOS, Gfx Mem etc)
Graphics Emulation: MGA, CGA, MCGA, TANDY, EGA, EGA-S, VGA
Sound Emulation: Soundblaster (via Amiga's native audio)
Adlib (via Amiga's native audio)

A PC Emulator for the Amiga 500 which plugs into the trapdoor slot. In addition to the 1MB of memory installed the card, PC programs can also make use of any additional memory assigned to it from the Amiga's own memory. When the emulated PC is not in use, the on board 1MB of RAM can be assigned for use by the Amiga. The card also has support for using hard disks, floppy drives, the serial port and joystick/mouse ports in PC mode. The card also includes a real time clock.

I couldnt find them in the latest TOSEC set so i guess theyre not in there.

If it is not in tosec i'm sure they are interested, you just have to upload it somewhere here but i don't know quite well how/where :P

Great, i've just got one of these... Can somebody advice me some rules and some little instructions about how must i get on with this board?

I have no idea how does this thing work. However i even have no idea about if it will work on my A500... since my miggy is a rev8a cut down to work like an A500. If it doesn't work i guess i'll need to go for a rev6a board instead.

But at this point any advice will be really useful for me. Thanks!

The only thing i know is that you use this disk to boot on your Amiga to MS-DOS Mode if you have a KCS PowerPCBoard installed in your trapdoor expansion. and i believe you can also create a MS-DOS Startup disk in Workbench with this disk. but am not sure its been a while since i used this.

It would be a good idea to know how to settle a MSDOS partition using the KCS board, since i don't want to be using floppies forever.
