A few months ago I was trying to find one of the MOD tunes i made back in the day, and figured this would be a good place to ask if anyone had it lying around. Tried the various MOD sites, with no luck.

It was called something with Ajax and was heavily Prodigy inspired.
I know I saw it on a few BBS's back then, but lost it myself.

So, anyone?

Were you in a demo group?
Did you have a handle?

Any other relevant info could help us to find it ;)

Inside "Hemelvaarts&Ajax-tro" is a module called "Ajax.module". Is this the one you are looking for?

No, unfortunately not. It was Protracker MOD.

If you can call 3 scene wannabee schoolmates, with a name I can't remember of a group, then yes - I was in a group:)

My handle back then was Stalker.

Hemelvaarts&Ajax-tro is a what? It wouldn't be part of anything, unless it was "stolen";)

Ok, seems to be not the one:(, the module i mentioned, has digitized samples of live comment from the football champions league final Ajax- Milan in 1995.

Whow mld! Thanks, that was it..

CASCrew... Haha, forgot that name.. Crystal Art Software Crew.. I remember doing the crystal logo by hand in DP. Good times...

piraterave wasn't the name, but we heard it so much, while developing a Monkey Island rip-off, that I guess it was dubbed that. Think I know who reported it in now - was wondering how on earth, they got my real name (partly) :)

Now just to find something to play it with.

Thanks!

Well if Monty, Asle or Crown are listening, the name is Alexander, not Alex. Kind of proud that it's in there :)

There are several options for you:
Native you need a Player/Plugin that's been able to play Protracker mods. What platform are you using? Amiga? Win? Unix/Linux? Mac?

Streamed/converted to OGG or MP3, you can go to modland:

http://www.exotica.org.uk/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special:Modland&ss=1&title=Special:Modland&md=qsearch&qs=piraterave

click on OGG/MP3 recording to get a link to download the file, to be played by almost any Mediaplayer.

Unfortunately I'm on my Win workstation, so I just used Winamp - don't have an Amiga these days:(

Fixed :).
Did you compose anything else back then (or even later) ?

Cheers :)

Yeah lots, but unfortunately I believe the only one that was spread was that one, so all the other MODs are lost :(

Don't feel alone. There are countless people in your case.
Still if you stumble upon some, sent to friends or the like, we are interested. And this "we" includes also Curt Cool ;)

Someone I forgot to mention and to whom I now humbly apologise (It seems i'm getting really old. ;-)... He's also part of the AMP Team. Nice folks.

hehe, that's ok. Not sure he reads EAB anyway.
Still, Curt Cool is better known, maybe, for his composition skills. He is an outstanding composer, and a prolific one at that ;).
Here, for the 621 songs of his on AMP : http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?detail=modules&view=1412
