View Full Version : Emulating a Hard Disk?

Can anyone help me out, I'm new to the scene. So far I have mangaged to get
my different configurations set up for the various versions of the Amiga. I have
also played several adf games, which I have really enjoyed.

Having read more on sites such as this I think I would now like to have a go at
getting a hard disk emulated. If I do this can I install adf games to it like on a PC?

How do I go about creating an hard disk then? can anyone give me a few simple steps to follow? Once I've managed to get one emulated can anyone tell me how to get my adf games installed on to it.

Your best bet is to get AIAB from

http://aiab.emuunlim.com/

You need a Workbench 3 adf for the above.

If you want to do it yourself then let us know what WB set you have, i.e 2.04, 2.05, 2.1, 3.0 etc.

As for installing adfs, head over to http://www.whdload.de for the installers.

I don't have a copy of workbench but I've seen where I can get it. Whats the best setup to use, which version of workbench would you recommend??

I have workbench 3.1 now, whats the next step, if you could provide me a few simple steps I would very much appreciate it.

That link you sent me was excellent. I now have a 27mb harddisk emulated, I've even formatted it and I now have workbench 3.1 installed. Nice one cheers!!!! All I need to do now is install some games etc.

Can any game be installed or is it just certain games? By the way could you suggest any programs that are worth installing for a beginner?
