Starts: 00:01 December 6
Finishes: 23:59 December 19
Here we go again. Can anybody steal rexsu's crown this year, or will he retain it to complete a season double? Remember you have to enter this round to have any chance of playing later on - you have to be in it to win it, as they say.
Rules
Rules are available here (http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=492853&postcount=4). Super League rules are here (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=41652); usual rules still apply.
We are playing the Ace of Space table only in this round.
Post a picture of your score here with the score written underneath. Enter as often as you like.
No cheating (including save states) - anyone caught cheating gets disqualified.
Here's how the qualifying system works:
Between 9-13 people enter: 8 people qualify.
Between 14-17 people enter: 12 people qualify.
18+ people enter: 16 people qualify.
Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Wouldn't of thought pspuae could manage this game??
john4p
06 December 2009, 15:37
It will definitely not run fullspeed.

I don't see any reason for PSPuae to be slow for SlamTilt, it's not an overlycomplex thang.
Roadrash rocks!

Got this score this afternoon - it's not very good but at least I was sober then and would probably do very badly now :laughing

I don't see any reason for PSPuae to be slow for SlamTilt, it's not an overlycomplex thang.But the Amiga's hardware is "overlycomplex" compared to the MegaDrive. Thus PicoDrive runs even the SegaCD-games ~fullspeed on PSP while PSPUAE can't do the same with most OCS-titles. Slam Tilt being an AGA-game doesn't help much, either. ;)
PSPUAE is a great application. Lots of useful features, very high compatibility, but unfortunately few Amiga games are really enjoyable on it.
Recompiled on a powerful ARM-device like the Pandora or the Nokia N900 it will possibly finally be the best portable Amiga-emulator (since both devices are way more powerful than the PSP and on ARM-devices the 68000 assembler-core Cyclone can be utilized which means fullspeed emulation of OCS-games is granted).

Bump...
Anybody here? EAB has been really rather quiet for compo-related stuff in recent months. Apologies, however, go to anyone who thought the round started on the 76th December as stated in the original post ;)

Where is john and rexsu?
Graham Humphrey
13 December 2009, 11:11
Well rexsu's giving it a go this weekend I take it. I'm sure John will be along soon. I can't imagine either missing this round. Also wonder where Robo-Sparkle got to.
Good to see turrican3 back too - but we still need more EAB entries. Three out of eleven is a very poor turnout so far.
Remember there's still a week left folks...

@TCD
You have to improve your score to the grand slam :)
@Blade002
Made an effort please, you may be hidden tallents to pinball games :cheese

14 December 2009, 16:43
And remember folks, if two more people join the top twelve qualify for the next round rather than the top eight :)

@TCD

Sorry, but 800 million more is just out of reach here :) Like you can see in my round score I was able to score 650 million after quite some time playing. Not going to invest that much time on it.
john4p
14 December 2009, 17:06
A score of ~500 million might be enough to qualify after all.

Several other people have voted but not submitted a score yet. I hope this picks up soon so we can get a full house in for the next round. Otherwise it's been a very disappointing turnout...

Just four more needed for a full house ;)

19 December 2009, 10:20
Last day of the round folks. Once again - if you don't enter this round you've got no chance of taking part in the subsequent rounds.
Still waiting for a new entry to come flooding in :D

Just a few hours to go now.
Anybody to keep the EAB flag flying?

Turrican qualifying by the skin of his teeth there - Biscuit agonisingly missing out.
That's the end of that then - the top twelve go through. Superfrog next up and the first round draw.
