Hi all,
I've just purchased an Amiga 1200 with the intent of transfering downloaded adf images from my pc, writing them back to floppy and then playing them!
It's a bog standard A1200 (no hard drive, 2mb ram) and i've been using EasyAmi / EasyPC to transfer the images via a null-modem cable. The only problem is that I seem to be having a very low success rate with some games just plain crashing (with the red 'Software Faliure' message, or some games having strange effects (Pinball Dreams > keyboard locks up once you select a table / Magicland Dizzy > screen is in black & white / Fast Food > instruments seem missing from the background music / Elfmania > game asks me to 'Insert disk in the drive' and won't accept either disk)
Can anybody help me in locating the problem, i'm sending the files at 33kbs over the cable and don't get any errors when transferring. Also i've been using PC Line HD floppy disks as it's hard to get hold of DD floppies and I read on a website (can't remember which one), that they are ok to use.
If anybody can give me a suggestion i'll be heppy to try it and report back, I need to get this working coz I haven't played on an amiga in years and i'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks in advance.
