Shadowfire: teh answer to your question os very simple, and you just have to look at the link rlake provided. I'm thinking of doing this myself, because I do lots of multimedia setups, anda rack mounted A1200 is very, very handy. You can stuck it in a rack with syntesizers, too :)

hummmmm..that eyetech one looks nice.........but look at the price!!!
I want an a1200 in a rack because I would like to put it along side my synths......ant sort of treat it like a chip tune module :)

One thing that Eytech has done for you is all the leg work in the mounting of the mobo and the power supply conversion. I myself like to do these kinds of things but most others do not so it's basically just a mount and go type config.

I see why they use a U2 sized case as it gives you much more room to play with :D

Good luck with the project, if you have a digital camera, perhaps a few screenies would be nice to share with everyone ;)

I still don't have a digital camera, would have to do it the old fashioned way with film ;)

Well if you could then that would be great! Im sick of all the PC modding websites showing off modded pc's!

I think its time for an amiga themed one!

If everyone asked this question, there'd never be any progress.

Wooweee bro! At last! now you can rack it up with all the other audio gear.

Where you got the MIDI interface from, and what program makes use of it? None of my fave trackers seem to support it :(

thinlega

the midi interface is just a bog standard datel one....I have only tryed it on octamed, bars& pipes and some very odd little midi apps....which all work

what are your fav trackers???will test them with it if you want

Well, I just happen to have a 42U rack going begging at the moment... currently populated with a Compaq 1850R, 6400R, 2 x U160 drive enclosures, 1 x LCD monitor and keyboard rack, and an AS2214 FCAL (populated with 10 x 73gb u320 drives). And I just happen to have - unfitted - the perfect case for an Amiga rackmount system... 4 front IDE drive bays, floppy and CDROM. Some intel based motherboard and PSU.

Hmm, maybe I should have kept that A1200 motherboard! Ah well.
