Hey Yo!

Well here is a basic Amiga 1200 project that ive been working on - and have now finally finished! lol Its just a basic setup and i bought most of the items on the cheap. Its perfect for gaming though! :D Here are the full specs:

Amiga 1200 (Commodore Rev 2)
Kickstart 3.1
Blizzard 1230-IV (full MMU/FPU)
32MB RAM
4GB 2.5" IDE Hard Drive
Amiga OS 3.9
WHDLoad (registered) / KG's WHDLoad Games Packs (many thanks KG! :) )

So yeah the specs are good for games (about 3.5GB worth of games/roms/emus installed!) and pretty much everything i throw at it classic gaming wise works perfectly (much better than my Amiga 4000/060). Possible future upgrades/modifications to this project could include:

More RAM +64MB
Modification to trapdoor via holes to allow more air flow.

Anyway enough talk check out the pics! :D

Thats a great machine :) The only thing i dislike are the massive borders in the games :sad but maybe switching to NTSC mode on boot-up will help a bit?

Apart from the 64MB ram upgrade you should consider switching from IDE to a 4GB CF card (silent!) and also if you can find: a Battlestation II arcade (http://brokenthumbculture.com/comics/2009-01-15-ep1(col)%20copy.jpg) :).

very nice machine but you seem to be missing an Indivision? I hope for the sake of your eyes that the picture is not really that bad ;)

@ CU Amiga. Have you tried IGame as the front end for your WHDLoad fun?

Has it improved over the years. It used to be DOG slow once you get a few 10's of titles in the database.

Hmmm latest version is 1.5 I run it on my 030 50mhz and it is very quick with ~4GB of games...
