Here it is :D Vote for your favourite five platforms. Vote for five platforms and only five, not more, not less. The five platforms with the most votes will be played in the rotation of the EMPL this season (three games for each platform = 15 rounds).
Happy voting folks ;)
P.S. : No whining about 'Why isn't platform XY here?'. You had your chance to name them ;)

I am not contestant in EMPL and I read P.S. but why N64 and not Saturn or PS1? And not Speccy? :sad Dont expect me to vote in such a crippled poll (and you know how much I love to vote in polls :D).

No speccy, no excuse, no regret :D
If I were involved, my votes would go to SNES, Mega Drive, MAME and one of the NES/Master System and one of the PCE/Neo Geo. And SPECCY, SPECCY, of course :)
Well :great that you resist to vote Sensi :D For the next season we will repeat this step, so I guess someone might put the Speccy on the list (and if only to gain some kudos from you ;)).

Guess I will PM every new player that voted here and ask if that was clear ;) If they don't want to play, their votes are of course not counted.

Better do that TCD. And you should put played and EMPL league in bold just for the careless "it's a poll, i'll vote anyway" to know that they will be haunted in their dreams, if they vote now and don't play in the league later. :)

@TCD: Have not had an internet connection (apart from dial-up!) at home for about 3 weeks now due to my 'ultra-reliable' BT Home Hub going down and BT seemingly not interested. Hence, any posts I make here have to be done at work, and only between 12:00 and 14:00 when they let us play....
Also, my gaming 'skillz' are poor at best! ;)

Fear not I will be playing. Just found this site a few weeks ago and really enjoying installing the emulators (and the games are fun too). Looking forward to playing some games I've never played before or some that I played many years ago.

My other favorite systems are the Atari 8 bit computer systems, the ST's sucked!! Also the Tandy CoCo 3 was an awesome 8 bit system, and it ran OS/9 which was a UNIX variant.

Note to Asman, gklinger and nujack : Please post if you want to play in the EMPL in this thread or votes aren't counted. I know polls are exicting and stuff, but this was made to find the platforms we will use for the EMPL and not to state which other platforms we like. Thank you for your cooperation :cool

I'm actually a little bit interested in the TG16 now, since we played it a bit in the last round. But mostly because of a certain Pinball-game, Operation Wolf, and the CD VERSION, which looks great.
Still... Nights Into Dreams on the Sega Saturn... DAMN! Why can't we have that?? One day lads, one day... :(
Well, I guess next round it would be possible, eheheheheee. :D
I think that's the only racing-game you'll ever see me play, outside of the Mario Carts.

You'll think I'm crazy, but I was actually tossing up my last vote between Master System and Mame.
EDIT: Thinking about this want for more systems. If you do special rounds that could be one. For a system not on the rotation. That might have already been in the chitchat thread, but I forget.

No worries, I will sort out all those who haven't played yet and didn't say they would join us here in the thread. Some poeple just got excited as soon as they see a poll...
I will count the (valid) votes tomorrow morning and start the game voting thread then, so last chance to vote for those who really want to play.

With the current standings I'd suggest to play 3 games on the top 5 platforms and 2 games on NES, N64 and TG16.
5*3 + 3*2 = 21 games to play => nice season...
Well I suggest we wait for the next poll (round length) to finish ;)

I would love to see a C64 game played for the next round, but after choosing my 5 it seems that it may not win :( .. even so though, MAME seem to be up there :) and the SNES is good machine as well, so its all good :)
Okay, here are the votes after the corrections :

We will start with the vote for the first SNES game right now and also have a poll (I must be nuts to do this again :p) about the round length.
P.S. : Yes, I have noticed we have three platforms with 8 votes, but we will care about that once the next poll is finished ;)

just a question.. is a NeoGeo just an Arcade Console, so it basically has nothing that can not be offered by MAME???
The NeoGeo is also a home console, so it's listed as an own entry. It got it's own set of games (because it was also an arcade platform) and some of the titles (Metal Slug :spin) are awesome :D Just choose the five you would prefer :)
