I was using two Sega Cd32 Pads as joysticks in my Amiga, the first one stopped working a few months ago, the second a few weeks.
The contact rubbers broke.
Anyway i bought a Usb pad from logitec, and decided to try my soldering skills by modding it.
Im posting the pictures here with a small tutorial in case anyone wants to mod one too.

Nice mod-job Yoti ;)

I was just thinking that loud on AmiBay about the possibility doing that kind of hack a with usb adapter or one of those spare PSX pad connectors, and wondering if that would work with me Amy... care to check? ;)

I already read the thread about a PIC adapter, that would translate the signal between Digital USB or PSX to the analogic signal used by retro computers including Amigas.
Still, this Gamepad costs less than €12 and the mod itself takes less than 1 hour, so it was a real bargain.
Ps: Works great too, the only down side its the lack of autofire.
Ps2: Why would you want to hack it shoon? For what i´ve read the device seems to be programable, cant you remap the buttons instead?

@shoonay
Can i assume you are talking about a simple soldering mod?
Would you care to elaborate a little more please?

Yes, I'm not talking about building this fancy programmable adapter, which is beyond my skills, I was just thinking out loud about a simple cable2cable mod.
Never mind ;)
