Hi

I'm using WHDLoad version 16.9 and have tried renaming the file as suggested in the instructions here:

http://www.whdload.de/docs/en/need.html

I've downloaded skick 3.46 from the link on that page and copied the Kickstarts folder into Devs.

I have also Renamed the .PAT file, removing the .PAT extension thus:

kick34005.A500.PAT -----> kick34005.A500

of course the corresponding kick34005.A500.RTB is also in the same folder.

I get a good old Dos error (#219 seek failure) when I try and run something that requires any of the kickstart files in that folder (A1200 A4000 etc) and they have all, as far as I can tell been renamed as per the instructions... so what am I missing?

This is on a real A1200....

thanks for any and all help.

Andrew

Hi

kick34005.A500.PAT -----> kick34005.A500

I'm a little rusty on skick but I think you should put the .pat back on the file, copy your Kickstart ROM into the kickstart folder along with the others and rename the ROM to 'kick34005.A500'.

EDIT: You'd just know I'd see you're using a 1200 AFTER logging out. Well you will need a copy of the correct ROM for the corresonding pat and rtb files.

that sorted it... thanks. :) "found" some KS roms *cough* and renamed them appropriately....
