Greetings everybody! I was a long-time off-line... you see I had economic difficulties... but that's all past now :)
Well, onto the problem... I recalled playing a game with an Indian that was sort of platform game and you could jump off a ledge or jump to the ledge above the one you stood, and I'm not pretty sure but I think you were able to cast a spell sometimes...
Give your best shot ;)
[PS ] My *.adf archive of 500+ rare disks ;) will be online and fully functioning as soon as I get a way of running such a website and as soon I completely check and index my archive. :crazy

CodyJarett, this is not the game, I was talking about? :)
Perhaps, you should give it another try... :nervous

No jumping in that game now is there. Can't say there are many games I know of where you play an indian. I know Colorado had indians in it but that's different.

No, no, no! As you said Colorado is definetely something else. I am still trying to find the game... so keep on trying :)

Mmmm - can you give us any more clues?
Was it scrolling, sideways viewed, company, year etc.?

Well, I recall that you either controlled an Indian or the other ones ("bad guys") were indians, I am not sure but I think that to finish each stage you had to reach a totem... and that you had growing mana that allowed you to unleash magic sometimes... as for the year I'd say 80's-early 90's... and yes it was scrolling :crazy
Another detail is that, you could jump on a higher ledge or drop to a lower edge

It sounds quite like Onslaught...

Not Again! Maybe I'll try a Google search, sometimes but I'm pretty sure I will get no-where... perhaps if I could remember more details that would really help... :confused

Amigaboy suggests that it sounds a bit like North And South (except for the magic). The screenshot below shows the battle scene, but there is also a scrolling section.

I first thought of North & South too, but it's not a totem you have to reach there, but a flag.

Like I said it is not obligatory to be an Amiga game, but it can be pure arcade... since I was too young to recall title and more information and since all google search terms I have tried don't help I should try harder :shocked
Let me re-write what I seek. It is a platform game where probably not on every stages (should be the first one) the setting is Far West style and you find indians (if I'm not mistaken) you can jump from one level to below and I think you can cast some magic sometimes... :nervous
Well, I'll keep on searching, you keep posting and we'll get to it sometimes ;)

It could be Premiere:

Yolanda? the main character was an amazon women who looked a bit like an indian..
enigma

Well, not Sunset Raiders either... how could one forget such a marvelous game... I liked it because in the arcade you did sort of things to the saloon-ladies ;)
Not Yolanda, either I don't know it :)
But I've found something that looks like it... do you know a game called Lone Ranger? Do you have an amiga/arcade screenshot... post it plz! :)

Cody, I got it perhaps! (At least I think [about 99%] ;))
Could you please post a double-barrel screenshot of Voodoo Nightmare by Palace?
Goddamnit, that's a challenging one :shocked

Voodoo nightmare was an isometric puzzle game. Not a platform game.

Well, I am not aware of any coin-op named The Lone Ranger. There was, however, a Nintendo game with that name...

I think it is an arcade game you are looking for, Enigma.
I remember two cowboys ‘n’ indians arcade games that were released in 1992: Boys of Moo Meesa which has starring some bulls (see picture) and another arcade game which was called Heated Barrel. Both are horizontal scrolling shoot'em-ups/ Beat'em-ups.

Well, what I have stick in my mind does come a little close to the middle pisture of Lone Ranger of that Nintendo game, but maybe I should look for more screenshot of the game... Boys of Moo Meesa :)
But, I have a feeling I have not found what I seek.
