I got another A1200...

As with my last A1200 I have fitted a Subway USB device...
I have also fitted the Indivision Monitor Port using the A1200 expansion port piece - it works quite well I think... well it will when I get the Indivision working!

It is working out to be a very similar set up to my last A1200 - the only difference is that I have a CF HD now rather than an 2.5 IDE - it is great to have the Subway - I intend to run a powered usb hub and a CD ROM from the rear ports and having this side port is so cool for transferring stuff via memory stick...

I will add more Pics and details as it comes together... :great

Hmmm, rather scrummy A1200 you have there...

...don't forget the 'topless shots': Zetr0 suffers from withdrawal if he doesn't get his regular dose of p0rn.

You can still see my old A1200 which I installed a Subway into in exactly the same way...

I sold this one - I must have been mad - still it is fun doing it all again!

You make me want to have USB in my Amiga, but I can't justify the investment!
Give me some months. :D
How much is one of these devices?

Nice 1200 there :D

I guess thats the price we have to pay for a low demand product. Same thing with the prices of accelerator boards - they seem to have rocketed in price in recent months :sad

Don't forget the software development needed. Apart from the stack, it supports a lot of devices. (Media too?) Few USB device manufs (mouse, keyboard, harddisk) spend money on developing drivers for the misc. Amiga OSes. That's why "USB is cheap" on PC/Mac/Linux.

Poseidon is now open source for any USB host controller board.

Also Poseidon works with pretty much all common USB devices you can throw at it.

Not the same for Anaiis, I'm afraid. Anaiis lacks storage class devices.:sad

I never did find a USB Printer to work with it - a suitable printer driver would have to be available as well I suppose.
