creatin a hard drive total failure :(

hi folks

i am having a bit of a shit time here and am about to give up on emulating altogether



let me explain why

once upon a time i was te proud owner of an A500+

my cat pissed on it :sad

i was no longer the owner of an A500+

i then became the prouder still owner of an A1200 :laugh



after playin loads of crappy games i finnally came accross a brilliant game called capital punishment by click boom

a hard drive only game it figures that my 1200' hard drive would fail at this point in time


i sent it of to be repaired

they reinstalled workbench and sent it back broken


time moved on

the cat pissed on this too

bloody cat

im sure he was tryin to make me spend more time with him (may he R.I.P)



lightyears down the line and i have a bloody pc with seriously dodgy hard drives

btw never ever buy from pc world they r scum they have fobbed me of with 13 hard drives over 1 year that all broke in a week or didnt even start up after instalation that happened 2 times :mad bastards fobbed me of with shit till my warrenty ran out



any way i finally stumble accross winuae and start reliving my childhood



then i find capital punishment ;) the game i never got to play


ok so i figure out at last how to install a hard drive and manage to download 2 broken kikstart files that arent even recognized by winrar or winzip

so i keep searching in vain


then i finally found all 6 workbench 3.1 files :) yahoo

well actually fuck!

they are stupid bloody DMS files and dont work both the programms i downloaded to unpack them or convert them to adf files r useless dos files that fail as soon as u open them


so now i finnaly have capital punishment after all this tim of crappy a1200 and pc hard drives an guess what i cant create a friggin amiga hard drive because i cant get workbench

the fact i have it and cant use it or find kikstart makes it even worse still :scream



i am at the end of my tether now and really am getting fed up

errmmm, 13 harddrives, maybe you need help installing HARD-DRIVES, if you had bought 13 hard-drives from me i would refunded your money and told you to buy elsewhere, so your pretty lucky, did they supply you with 13 hard-drive from the same manufactors, might have been a mainboard/hd problem...

.. or maybe it was the Ghost of your CAT (R.I.P) (no offense).

oh yeah, btw, ALL hard-drives come with 3years warranty from the manufactor. i should know i've sent 13 back LOL!!!!

i just need those adf files for the pc

i can create a hard drive in winuae not bother (NOW :) ) took sum doin tho :)



but now im stuck completely searching for workbench for the winuae adf files !!!


i found dms 1's but cant unpack em

altho i hear amiga forever can


any way my original plea for someone to mail me all 6 3.1 + kickstart still stands

my cats ghost :) u may have a point little sod ! ill leave a big mouse or sum such sacrafice for him

oh i can install a hdd :) they were all actualy installed by the tech's sent round to my home to fix them


and they did give me 2 mother boards

still seem to thinks its my fault tho


well funny cos i aint ever heard of any one else havin these problems and i know more about pc's then most

typical of big name companys tho

for the files you need check out the apps section at removed

you need...
WinUAE (i prefer 08.08.R8)
1.3 kickstart rom (for OCS/ECS)
3.1 kickstart rom (for AGA)

that will get you going, you might also wanna get Wb3.1

i've done alot of technical support on location for corporate and domestic and *normally* always found that the problem normally lies with the thing between the Keyboard and the Seat.

but hey, you might have just been REALLY unlucky.
