Simon the sorcerer AGA still says "Save failed. Try another disk"
(well well, it didnt work with 16.8 also :))

Was it working with older WHDLoad versions? I've completed the German AGA version 3-4 years ago with no issues.

Ive tried it only with 16.8 and 16.4, but no luck

I used slave v1.2 then. Try it, maybe with WHDLoad 15.x

omg, german ocs version saves on HD!
so this is not issue with new slave or new whdload :(
There is one difference: when you Use Postcard and Save, this german ocs version says nothing and simply displays "1." for first save position"
englisg aga version wants "Insert save disk and press any key".

Just tried KG's preinstalled AGA/English version. The saving works fine here, with WHDLoad 16.9, slave v1.3.

Yep, this zip. But the folder is from 12.03.2007. :)

im using unarc (45.13) for unzipping

Download it again. My folder shows 12.03.2007. Maybe a KG fixed version. Are you missing the "saves" subfolder in "data"?

and we are pretty OT here, please can be this thread splitted? :)

save directory is created, empty, while unpacking

SOLVED:
ive unpacked it with unzip and it saves! (and freezes after return to game :crazy)

oh, thanks :)

its really something to do with unarc from os3.9, unpacked wit this it didnt work.
unpacked with unzip it works fine :(
can somebody explain it?
