Finally, from 21 players we're down to 2 (well technically 4 I suppose but let's not get picky). It's now a no-holds-barred fight to the death. Possibly.

Post a picture of your score here with the score written underneath. Enter as often as you like.

No cheating (including save states) - anyone caught cheating gets disqualified. No continues either.

The winner of the play-off gets the consolation of finishing third in the tournament. The winner of the final gets the fame and glory of being the first champion of It's a Knockout. No pressure.

Advice @all: Use your grenades - it's the strongest weapon in the game (press <ALT>). And use your mines against the ants in later levels (down + hold fire).

I don't have merit, i know this game; i played last year !
But i will not go on the fan sites for know all the tricks.
So i'll try to dig everywhere because i haven't found all lives or secret passages. (see Super League Round 6 threads, 70 lives !?!)
I hope to reach 2,000,000 but i'm not sure to get there, it's almost an insurmountable obstacle. :banghead

It's my first try for 2009 but i have played in 2008 and i know lot of tricks.
If you know the first hidden lives in the level 1 (roughly 15) it's enough for see the end imho !
(that would have been a different story with Turrican2)

I was a little disappointed not to have finished the game with 60 lives. :spin
But i had forgotten the life that you mentioned, now i'm happy :)
I lost my lives mainly because of "time out", as you i suppose ;)
I lost one life against a Boss, Piranha...
In short i think i played pretty well on this part, which makes your score even more impressive !
I tried to kill everything i could find, but i have 70,000 points in less because you did 1.8m (without counting the number of lives). For some it seems little, but for me it's a big difference; your score will be very difficult to beat.
I'm sorry for the person who will want to dethrone you, he will have to play heavily at Turrican :crazy

There are only 2 passages where transformation is required.
One in the level of Alien for earn lot of bonus but no lives.
The second in the last level for gain 3-4 lives and few bonus.
If you play well you can finish the world 1 with about 33 lives !

I'm guessing it involves timing your final jump very carefully to catch the 3 in the air then fall around the platform to follow the other one down, but I've still got at least another 18 to find so don't worry too much. :D
