This is it then - the final round of the 2008 League season.

Rules:
- The round starts now (Sunday, November 16) and will end at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, December 6.
- The following four tracks should be played (in practice mode):

Division 4: Little Ramp
Division 3: Stepping Stones
Division 2: Rollercoaster
Division 1: Ski Jump

- All the times will be added up - the lowest time wins. If you don't play all the tracks then regardless of your total time you will be placed below the players who did play them all.
- Post screenshots of your times in this thread, and write your time underneath. You can enter as many times as you like within the round's time frame.
- No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. If you suspect a contestant of cheating then don't post it in public (anyone who does so will have their posts edited or deleted) - please PM either me or Biscuit and we will investigate it. If we find anyone guilty of cheating then they will be banned for the entire season.
- Please only post your score on either the EAB or Lemon forums. If you have already played this year you have to post your score on the same forum for the whole season. If you are new, the one you post on first will be your "team" for the whole season. However you are welcome to discuss the compo, game etc. on the other forum if you wish.

Take a pic of your lap time, whenever you've had enough and got a time you're happy with. Just pause the game and take a screenshot with your time in the bottom right of the screen.

No it didn't work, the only thing it seemed I could do is actually quit the game back to Workbench.

Had the same problem using Whdload in WinUAE!

You might have to mod your 1200 and add an F12 key!! lots of good stuff hideen behind that key!! :D

:lol Yeah, there are some really nice features hidden behind the F12 key :agree :D
With WinUAE you don't need the Pause key so badly to make a screenshot, but with a real Amiga... Maybe one of the WHDLoad masters can make a 'hotfix' before the compo ends ;)

@Graham: Just finish the race - you need to press the firebutton to go back to the menu after 3 laps. The picture stands still with your best lap time displayed until you press fire:

You can also just release your controls after the 2nd lap and then take a foto of the time (even if the game moves). Then press Escape to go back to the menu.

everytime you stuff a corner, you think I better get that right for next lap but then you stuff a different corner and frustration sets in a little or maybe alot.

Its all about the corners and not getting too much air time except for certain jumps.

Gday fellas just a small update on scores, mihcael and I are half cut with alcohol, we've finished a bottle of black douglas and onto a bottle of wild turkey and weve been playing this fucked up game and I managed to beat my previous best score with stepping stones.

The only important thing that's better in Gran Turismo is the framerate - which is supersmooth (unlike Stunt Car Racer's).

Other than that both games have an ingenious physics engine.

A smooth framerate usually is the most important aspect for me to be able to enjoy games - Stunt Car Racer is the only exception.

The only important thing that's better in Gran Turismo is the framerate - which is supersmooth (unlike Stunt Car Racer's).

There was an artical in an Amiga magazine many many years ago that mentioned Geoff Crammond was looking into turning Stunt Car Racer and F1GP into some bizzare new game featuring F1 cars will huge bouncy wheels and suspension on rasied versions of the current F1 tracks but putting jumps/loops etc in them. Sadly that was all we heard about it because had it happened i think it would have been something very very special :(

Like I said in another thread, it's really a nice game, but I suck at it (and now I see how much for the first time ;)). One thing is annoying though : You can't quit the current race while your car is still 'in the air' ;) That can take 20 or more seconds on tracks like rollercoaster...
