I have a problem with this game on my 040/25 CPU.
The game freezes on my Amiga, it always happens at the beginning of each level.
I have tried everything, unfortunately without success.
Can perhaps other users (040/060) confirm this error?

Tried it on my A1200's Apollo 040/33 and it works perfectly, I don't have to set up any tooltypes or anything.

Thank Graham,
Well, I am a little surprised. I always thought that user with 040 Apollo cards have more problems than we with 040/060 Blizzard.;)

I must admit I am surprised too ;)
What version are you using, did you install the game yourself, or did you download a pre-installed one? I'm using the one from WHDownload if that's any help.

I have the game itself installed, the version seems to be OK because
on my old 020 CPU everything worked perfectly.

I can confirm this error. The game freezes on my Amiga also. My configuration is A-1200, Blizzard 040/25Mhz and 32 MB.

Looks like a Blizzard problem then?
Strange, I don't see why two different cards with the same processor (albeit at different speeds) should cause such trouble?

Just tried it on my Apollo 1240/40 with 32MB, no problems at all. Quite enjoyed playing it, actually, never played this game before! :)

@ Darek78 : thank you for confirmation. I think that this error only happens on Blizzard 040 CPU. :( Can perhaps a 060 user something to say about this topic. ;)
@ Steven : thank you for testing. I would say:
Apollo - Blizzard
2 : 2 :)

Hi s4m,
Thank you, that you've tested it on your 060 blizzard. I must say that I'm really surprised, that the game works without problems on a 060 CPU. :confusedBecause 040 and 060 Blizzard cards usually have the same problems.
I wanted briefly more precisely describe my problem:
At the beginning everything seems with the game to be OK, the troubles begin when I want to start a mission. (I can move my mouse cursor, the sound and the clock continues to run, only my soldiers are not there, and I can do nothing).:guru
It could be that the game would work with cache, but unfortunately it crashed with an error message:
Exception "Line 111 emulator" ($ 2c) at $ A occurred.
Somebody has an idea yet what I can do? I'm grateful for any help.

Hi s4m,
did you try with another tooltypes like : novbrmove or noautovec?
I have novbrmove, noautovec and many others tooltypes tried unfortunately with the same result.
did you download the latest whdload package ?
Yes, of course. I have tried it also with older versions, unfortunately without success.
did you try with kgwhdload packs ?
Yes, the same bug.

hi irek72
do you run any 68040/60 software like oxypatcher on your workbench?
do you have the latest 68040/60 libs?
do you run any patches with your workbench?

hi s4m,
do you run any 68040/60 software like oxypatcher on your workbench?
Nope, why so what should I do?:)
do you have the latest 68040/60 libs?
Yes. (OS3.9)
do you run any patches with your workbench?
I use normal workbench without additional patches. I've also tried the game without startup-sequnce with the same result.
Merci beaucoup s4m pour vos suggestions.:)
in most cases almost all the games run without problems on my system configuration, there are a few exceptions, but with the help of options I can usually fix the errors.
I suspect that in this particular case CACHE option can be very useful (in some games has helped);).But if I try it with CACHE, the game crashes with an error message.(As I have already mentioned).

Have a look here : http://jffabre.free.fr/amiga/jff_loaders/ (thodhd.lzx) :)
Maybe someone knows where to get a preinstalled version.

I know this page, and the installer for the game also.;)(nevertheless many thanks for the info TCD.):great
I think that my question was worded something wrong, because I wanted to know if someone have a JST version of this game, which really works.:)
I've tried a some things on my 040 and 020 CPU, unfortunately without success. I have a gray screen after the start and I can not do anything. (this is much worse than the WHD. Version):(

I was again busy with this problem, and I noticed that I forgot the tool MultiFr in my folder C to copy it. :banghead
I've tried it first from workbench to start, but unfortunately I had the same problem as in WHDL. Version. Finally, I tried it without startup sequnce and after several attempts ran the game for the first time without problems on my 040/25 MHz CPU. :)
EXECUTE: RUNGAME
Although it is a pity that the WHDLoad version does not work for me but luckily there's still another alternative like the good old JST.
I would still find great if someone from WHDL. Team the problem for some 040 users would solve. ;)
I wanted again to thank all the users who have supported me here with their suggestions.
